Preface -
The defense is basically set (it's just one elite pass rushing edge, to keep opposing QBs from having all day to pick their targets.
They'll probably lose Tomlinson, so they need a big big body to help stuff the L.O.S.
The offense needs help, big-time - dead last in the NFL
If they dump Zeitler, they need a high quality reserve (assuming Lemeiux stays at LG and Hernandez goes to RG. They need a legit "X" receiver to compliment their very good "Z" -Slayton
Barkley (coming off injury) will need help, that's where a big bull that softens the "D" line will help.
Picture this on opening day - A healthy Dan Jones running the option read with Barkley behind him, and Waddell, Slayton, Shep and "He Hate Me" Evan Engram as pass targets; not bad.

Waddle is a better version of Slayton when getting of college....but with 2 years of NFL...Slayton and Waddle is a wash
I do like Stevenson a lot, though; he reminds me of AJ Dillion; not quite as good, but I think he could fill a Brandon Jacobs - sledge hammer type role with the Giants.
I'd be very tempted to even take him in the 3rd round.
The big deal is Waddell joining Slayton. Remember Dan Marino and the two Marks - Duper & Clayton or Dan Fouts and Charlie Joiner & John Jefferson ?
That's what I want for the Giants, Dan Jones throwing to complimentary book-ends - Waddell & Slayton.

The Oline has to be fixed before any of this can happen.
About the O-line; the key I believe is COACHING. It's a chess match, (except it's a dynamic one). Hunter was an incompetent disaster, Columbo clashed with Judge, Guglielmo was just a disloyal hired gun. I can't imagine trying to come to work with a new guy talking a different language, teaching different keys & techniques every day.
Joe Gilbert at Tampa Bay has a solid (but not great) corps to work with; Gilbert just knows what to do. Their level of performance in two years, has been amazing. We need a guy like that.
I hope this new guy, Rob Sale is that kind of coach.
