He will likely command north of 10M. Perhaps we could get him on a 1 or 2 year deal. Just turned 29 and probably has really good ball left for a few seasons.
if the cap hit for Rudolph is anywhere near $8mil. Do we have the official numbers on that deal yet?
Absolutely possible. We can restructure a few deals and have plenty of room especially with signing bonus for Golladay likely to bring the cap hit for 2021 down below 10M

yes I’m an optimist but just calling it as I see it, if they plan to keep guys like Bradberry and Martinez for another two years, they should be able to restructure those contracts to fit any player they would want

I agree, I mean they have a shitload of cap room the next few years assuming the cap rises as expected. The dead money from Tate, Solder’s signing bonus and Baker will be off the books as well.
Like imagine being a Bears fan. Wilson puts you on a list of teams he wants to be traded to, Watson-the QB you never even brought in prior to the 2017 draft! WTF?-wants out of Houston ASAP...you're thinking, 'Man. We might end up with a legit top 5 QB for the first time since the dawn of the Cold War.'
And you end up with Andy Dalton as your starting QB & releasing Kyle Fuller.

I didn’t like the Mack trade at the time. They weren’t ready to be a true contender and they gave up multiple first round draft picks. And the last two drafts, they only have Montgomery to show for it and that’s about it. They are a team that never knows what it is, it’s like they think they are a SB team every offseason so they double down. Weird.
The #Broncos are expected to make a strong push for CB Kyle Fuller once his release is official, sources say. Vic Fangio coached him with the #Bears, while George Paton had a close look at him annually while with the #Vikings.
On the bright side, it may cause one of the CBs to come to 11, but God, I REALLY don't want to see Caleb Farley on the Cowboys

The #Bears are releasing veteran CB Kyle Fuller, sources say, a cap casualty. In a tough 2021 offseason, this is Chicago’s only cut due to cap space. A former All-Pro corner now hits the market.
I am usually an optimist but there will be 30 other teams
Leonard Williams says to tell you "I love the way I’ve been getting coached here under Coach Judge and his staff. I love the way they treat people here. It was just a lot of fun playing in this system, playing with my teammates, playing with this staff"
casualty of the lower cap, although his being cut is still surprising. I'd love to see him on the Giants, but I assume he'll be signed by a team with a lot more cap space.
Both Kyle Fuller and Adoree Jackson are intriguing options
But I want to wrap up Golladay, add an IOL like Trai Turner or Nick Martin and add a 3-4 DE like KK Short, Isaac Rochell or Jurrell Casey. After that, I'm not sure if we'll have enough money to add a #2 CB in free agency, so we may need to wait to the Draft (Caleb Farley, Patrick Surtain II...)
His cap hit for Chicago was 20M for 2021

Ryan is the BBI cap optimist, love it!
Let’s hope they aren’t making room for KG

It is the Bears, they seem to be a pretty dumb organization the last several years.
It is staggering to me that Nagy and Pace’s jobs are probably on the line and they are going to be OK with Dalton.
Beat me to the punch there. That's the right question...

Ha ha, maybe they can bring Jerry Reese in to replace him

So in essence, Dalton signing with Chicago helped lead to this? I'm sure my brother in law Bears diehard is jumping for joy right now...

Exactly what I was thinking.
