But hey, why not go w the lazy assessment that this is Quinn’s doing?

They have second round overall pick last year, first overall pick this year. Kakko, Chytil, Laffy, were all suppose to be making the team better. Do you really think Quinn will be coaching next year? Just won two cups in a row. The Lightning have won more Cups than the Rangers in the last 20 years. How can teams be in contention ever year and we Rangers fans HOPE we make the playoffs. Then COVID, then we get our shit pushed in in the bubble games. Now this year and we are likely on the outside looking in. Honestly, what the fuck?! Quinn has done a TERRIBLE joob since jump off, he gets sick and suddenly we "stot" winning. Then he comes back, 1st game we get our doors blown off?

And that first goal was technically on Lindgren, you get your shot blocked it's on you, but no idea why Smith was playing so far to the right. He should have been more in the middle and then Vrana isn't off to the races.
we think there is talent for sure, but it doesn't seem to be meshing. Whether that is due to coaching deficiencies and not seeing what will work better than what we have, I'm not qualified to judge. We've seen the offense from the two top lines explode and then revert.
As to Quinn vs Knoblauch--and repeating myself--last 27 minutes of the 8-3 win the defending looked disorganized, in disarray. But for Igor yesterday, it would have been much worse than 2-1. Caps have been hot and as noted above, they had a day's rest. Rangers are young: didn't they struggle mightily in the second game of the last back-to-back they had, Boston, was it? Maybe the Lemieux trade out of the blue (?) unsettled them.
K'Andre's recent play has been inconsistent. We'd like to see more stats from KK and Laf, but I'm not certain that is equivalent to poor play, but again as noted, you need to see more balanced scoring production. Lots of questions, lots of impatient fans, what is JD seeing? I think blowing things up in an Eichel trade would be a panic move.

You can make the argument that Laf is stuck on that Chytil line. Chytil flashes incredible skating and Kovalevesque stick handling....once in a while. Then he goea back to being invisible and awful at finishing the puck. Im losing hope on him. He just doesnt have any teeth to his offensive game.
I think Lafreniere is languishing playing with Chytil and Gauthier....another 1st round pick that has no teeth.

I have no idea. I am not clued into the coaching wire. I also dont have any idea of the type of coach Id want. Literally the only part of the game I know NOTHING about. Gallant seems like hed be a great fit, but he is apparently the HC in waiting for the Kraken. Anak is pissed.
