We will use this as a discussion thread to keep the picks thread uncluttered. These threads will be used for the duration of the draft.
Once a team is on the clock, they will have two hours to make a selection. If a team goes on the clock after 4pm, their two-hour window will roll over to the next day. For example, if you go on the clock at 4:30pm, you will have until 9:30 am to make a selection. Picks may be made between 6pm and 9am if GMs are online and following the draft thread. The time limit only applies during the 9am to 6pm timeframe. If the two-hour time limit expires, I will make a pick using any list that the GM for the team has sent me in advance (send lists to the email address in my profile) or in the absence of a list, I will use the GBN Big Board with a little discretion so as not make an obvious dumb pick (i.e. Kansas City won’t be taking a QB in the 1st round this year). If a GM misses two consecutive picks without providing a prospect list or making some form of contact with me (email or posting on the draft thread) the spot will be reassigned to one of the BBIers who have expressed an interest to fill the vacancy.
Please utilize the
BBI Mock Draft Spreadsheet . The spreadsheet contains the draft order (RD1-7) by team and GM with a fairly comprehensive list of prospects based on the GBN Big Board (as well as several other prospects that did not make the GBN Big Board). I will try to keep the spreadsheet and thread updated as often as possible… Good luck!
Is that the one ESPN floated as a hypothetical? I didn't think it came from inside the league but I could be mistaken.
I haven’t GM’d in many years, so I need a refresher on this topic. Is the rule on IRL trades that we incorporate them into our draft order as long as none of the affected picks has been made yet in the mock? Or is the whole order frozen once we start?
It’s a reasonable solution to Seattle’s lack of a successor to Wilson, but assumes Darnold would placate them, and that the Jets are ready to dump him and hand the reins to a rookie.
very helpful
Quite. LOL
Plenty of time for Home Alone .gif
Best quarterback in the draft for a team who desperately needs a franchise QB. Trevor Lawrence is a generational talent and Urban and company will be happy have to him start on day 1
Disappointing start.
No
Meanwhile in Costa Mesa, the Chargers have assembled gifs of all the blue-chip non-QBs who are unlikely to make it to #13. 😢
Disappointing start.
I always try to find good pics. Like this one of Kyle Long:
This would be a big surprise. Lots of unknowns with him, and for him to go before Fields and even maybe Jones, is surprising.
The funniest outcome would be if the Dolphins wind up trading again. And it could very well happen, depending on the first five picks and who wants whom. We could ultimately look back on the Laremy Tunsil trade as the 21st century Herschel Walker deal (and O’Brien as his generation’s Mike Lynn). At least Tunsil is good, but the Texans are a mess.
Would love it, because he seems to be the 5th QB. This would give a real good chance of 5 QBs in top 10
Looking down the road. Matt Ryan, for example, isn't getting any younger and neither is Julio Jones.
Wilson probably doesn't need to get carded. He's from BYU, a Utah kid, and not named McMahon, lol
In a lot of ways this reminds me of 1983 Draft but with extra QB's at the top instead of the RB's. Only 3 defensive players went in Top 15 in 1983 (Giants had the only Pro Bowler of the 3 in Terry Kinard. others were Billy Ray Smith to San Diego at 5 and Tim Lewis to Packers at 11). Ultimately Tim Lewis did get into coaching and I think he could have been a great player if he didn't get hurt.
Dolphins pick 18th. Agreed a WR/Pitts is the easy selection here.
FWIW, I would have taken Chase too.
Plenty of wrs in this draft in rd2 and 3
Arthur?
