He is DeAndre Jordan and Javale Magee eith better perimeter defense. Kinda why I was into trading the D for offense and being a Drummond proponent. Mitch isnt THAT good. If he had ANY post game, he would be a top 5 5 in the game even despite his lack of 3. He is an athlete, he is NOT a good ball player. Sure, its cute how he can get out and cover the perimeter and affect the other teams' 3 game, but most teams rock 3 3-ball shooters on the floor at the same time. So what good is that?
and gets hurt all the time. I'd 100% look to trade him this offseason
Gets hurt all the time? He's played in a ton of games. Not sure why you are saying that.
This. The broken foot is a concern for a big man but that type of break is also a relatively common injury for an NBA player. Hand injury was a total freak injury which is just poor luck.
Setting aside the broken hand, and the broken foot. He seems to have sprained his ankles fairly easily/often since he has been in the league. With a guy his size and build I think injuries are a legitimate concern going foward.
At 1.8 million.
Unless he make a big improvement on the offensive end he will be Noel in 3 years.
The rumors are that he is looking for a payday and I can't see paying him more than 12 million per.
I am a Mitch fan but he has not made improvement offensively at all.
I keep hearing he hits mid-range and 3's in practice.
It doesn't matter until he can carry a defender away from the paint
and give him a tech on top of it. With a transition three sandwiched in between. Perfect example of refs getting in the way of a game - Knicks were taking control.
The guy is really trying to do something out there. But he's really hard to watch. He's all flying arms and legs and elbows. It's almost spastic.
Hope he looks good whenever he's on the court because 1) it helps the Knicks in the present & 2) increases his trade value. He's not a long term piece.
a few years back when the Knicks were playing in Orlando and the team was staying at the same hotel I was. We talked about defense, met some of the players (Novak was quite the cocksman back then) and the team was playing well at the time. Hell of a nice guy. Very happy he landed his dream job.
I'd re-sign him. I think he's a building block. His floor is a better Noel. I'll take that at a reasonable price.

Can be part of the solution. Can also be used as trade bait. Whatever works. KNicks don't have to do anything with him yet.

But that's what we do sir, that's all we do - ( New Window )

Damn we need Randle and a win tonight.
Fuck.
Much as I can't wait for EE to be a former Giant, I can't watch for Elfrid to be an ex Knick.

Jist Start Rose and let Quick and Burks be the scoring punch off the bench..
Rose with the starters is such a good fit
Haha. This has a very 79-78 circa '99 feel so far.
To be honest, the Heat are a better team than us regardless of the records.

are they? They have Butler and Adebayo and who else? Herro has not been good this year..Dragic is a shell of himself..
I agree, but the heat are not some great team, they got overrated becaise they went on a run in the bubble..
Yet Elfrid continues to start...(shrugging shoulders.)
