Just about everyone has Najee Harris and Travis Etienne as the best two running backs in the upcoming Draft. I don't think a team could go wrong with either one. (It's just a matter of how much draft capital someone has to spend to secure their services.)
But my two favorite RBs in this Draft are Javonte Williams (UNC) and Kylin Hill out of Mississippi State.
About Kylin Hill -- first and foremost, this guy runs angry. Very angry. He is compact with a solid lower half which he uses in one of two ways: (1) to punish tacklers; and/or, (2) to veer upfield with dramatic cuts.
Hill does not dance, but he will change directions real fast and then get north and south. He looks fast to me, but his official time is nothing "special." Still, he has plenty in the tank to reach a soft corner. And he looks very natural catching the ball.
But in the end, it's the way Kylin Hill runs that jumps off the screen to me: the way he carries himself on the field, his attitude and just the way he runs says it all -- I am not afraid and I will thrive in the NFL.
Some team is gonna get great value in the middle to lower rounds when they select Kylin Hill. If the Giants can't snag Javonte Williams, Kylin Hill would be a very nice consolation prize. IMO, he could single-handedly change the attitude and mind-set of our entire offense. This guy plays mean. And our offense could sure use that.
Hill and Rhamondre Stevenson are typically ranked pretty close to each other and its hard for me to decided which i like better, but I think the nod goes to Stevenson just because I'd like a bigger back to fill out the Giants stable of backs. But just purely on talent its probably Hill.
PFF big board
Hill is 163
Stevenson is 166
Boylhart compares Hill to Giovani Bernard and Stevenson to Ricky Williams. The first one seems like a fit, but the second one is a bit exaggerated I think...but the style of runner seems correct.
He was doing really well as a receiver coming out of the backfield with new HC Mike Leach in those first 3 games.

Boylhart gives them both first round grades. The Giants could use a young rb - especially one who can pass block.
