...as running out of talent. Road usually isn't as straight when it happens but you actually have to be watching where you're going for the basic rules to apply.
Tiger is a menace and should not be allowed to drive
for reckless driving or anything else. Every BBIer would have been charged. Pro athlete privilege.
Article and statement from officer contradict your thoughts.
Quote:
Woods was not issued a citation or charged with reckless driving. Despite recording data showing excessive speed, Sherriff Alex Villanueva said a ticket can be issued without witnesses. A reckless driving charge would require more than one infraction.
“The decision not to issue a citation would be the same thing for anyone in this room,” Villanueva said to a roomful of reporters and cameramen. “The inference he is somehow special is false.”
they need to change their policies and definition of reckless. The science of accident reconstruction is more accurate and has more value than a witness saying "yeah he was going real fast when the car veered off into the tree."

So if he does it again he won't get a ticket because this wasn't an infraction? wtf

I was thinking that too. 84 MPH is moving along on the highway in the best of conditions. It is well beyond a rational speed in any other setting. He was not of sound mind at the time of this accident.
for single-car accidents to be investigated if alcohol and drugs have been ruled out as a cause. No matter if a person is a celebrity or not.
In fact, because this was Woods, it may have been given more time than if it wasn't a celebrity.
It's ridiculous that they didn't do a toxicology analysis on Tiget's blood, regardless if the officers on site did not believe alcohol/drugs were not present. They could have cleared Tiger's name OR
found the cause of the accident. Especially given Tiger's guilty pleasure in Florida just a few years ago.
Celebrity Justice? You bet it is...everyone else would have been tested.
Never been a Woods fan @ all, but it felt like his '19 Masters win was going to set him up for a late career redemption run. That now doesn't look like the case. I'm just glad he wasn't killed/no one else was killed in this accident.
This 100 percent seems like he was still woozy from the Ambien
I'd imagine any of you that have personal experience with the drug would agree.
Your body builds up a tolerance to the hypnotic effects of Ambien over time, but it still gives you that disassociation and if you take say 30mg, you are going to be feeling it in the morning without even realizing it. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually did mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brakes taking a turn to fast.
I mean I can't be totally fucking certain, but the guy just had a major surgery and was probably having a ton of issues sleeping, hence falling back into that. The tea leaves are all here. To me this makes a ton more sense that he was driving absolutely dangerous speeds on roads that are supposedly obvious you shouldnt be going 85 and he soberly mistakenly hit the damn gas peddle.
made a decision not to investigate further. Woods celebrity status and the fact no one else was involved probably played big role in that decision.
That’s just a moronic comment... ya know because Woods celebrity status and the fact that no one else was hurt in his previous vehicular incidents prevented him from being arrested and investigated??
Society jumped at the chance to make an example of Tiger previously, what’s changed?

You’re a moron. Has it not been clear that Tiger was made an example of previously? Society loves the downfall story and Tiger got the book thrown at him BECAUSE of his celebrity status.
But you’re also a dope because if you weren’t you’d realize that the Fourth Amendment gives all American citizens the right to be free from unreasonable searches and seizures. That means that in order to drug test you after you’ve been in a car accident, the police have to have a warrant. They have to have probable cause to believe that you’re driving while intoxicated. They can’t just automatically drug test you, they have to have a basis. They have to have a reason to believe that you might be driving impaired or driving intoxicated.
And clearly the police at the scene did not think drugs and alcohol were involved. So do you not believe in the constitution and personal liberty? I bet you would if you were in his situation.
Get outta here you dope.
Speeding recklessly and than claiming you mistook the brake for the
gas is certainly suspicious. Sounds like someone that is either having a stroke or is fucked up would do. I'm like king the cops way overstep their bounds all the time, but it's pretty clear they let him slide here. I like watching Tiger, but he has some weird sway over really grown ass white dudes that I always found fascinating.

Yep, he has all that sway... just like the time he was arrested 2 minutes from home by two white cops for being under the influence. I’m sure they couldn’t have just driven him home and forgotten about it because he has so much sway over grown ass white dudes. Instead he was treated like every other criminal should be treated.... other than ya know his personal matters were splattered across every newspaper possible and his reputation was dragged through the mud......
The level of dumb on this thread is incredible. Tigers background and history would lead ANYONE to assume he was under the influence. Maybe he wasn’t, and maybe the cops actually respected his constitutional rights. OMG what a horrible thing!

Did you even read the article? Or do you just purposely ignore facts to create your own narrative that makes you feel better about yourself?
Yea, every BBIer would immediately have their rights violated just because they’re normal Americans... lol get out of here....
But maybe you’d like the government sticking a needle in your arm to take a blood sample without your consent, and with no warrant or probable cause. There’s a little country in Asia, with a tiny economy that sounds like your paradise.
I can’t get over how people in this thread simply care to ignore that Americans HAVE RIGHTS to protect themselves against the government. Because I’m sure if you were unconscious and bleeding out you’d be ok with the cops ignoring evidence and violating the constitution just so they could build a case against you. Dumb.

That should read "guilty plea..."
Thank you for that clarification, but unfortunately it doesn’t make your post any less idiotic.
84 in a 45 zone is pretty intense, even if you are not taking drugs.
I don't know that particular highway but even on a sunny, perfect SoCal morning, that's a white-knuckle drive. People floor it like that on the freeway but on a "surface street", even a divided street like that one, you don't see a lot of that.
He didn’t remember anything from the accident? A speeding ticket would seem to be appropriate as he was speeding. But, I think he is paying a very high price either way already.
Police said they found no sign of impairment, and no evidence from cell phone records that there was a distraction. There was no one else harmed, and no one witnessed the car speeding which is why no citation was written.
. . . but even if there actually was a cop at the scene with a radar gun, I'd find it to still be unlikely that they would write anyone, let alone Tiger Woods, a speeding ticket after he had just wrecked his car and nearly killed himself.
I hate asshole drivers as much as anyone, but hitting Woods with a traffic violation doesn't accomplish anything.

Apparently his car has a black box installed in it to record his driving.
Is a black box standard with high end cars, or was it installed by order of a judge after a prior driving transgression?

With that said, I have nothing but love for the BBI community. I hope no one on this board is ever finds themselves in a similar situation to Tiger.
But, yes, I do love Tiger Woods. Not sure how anyone cant.
: )
