is constructed. With Saquon back we can run the full sell PA to Slayton and Ross a couple times a game for big plays, especially considering our pass blocking is probably still crap. We are going to need assistance from the run game for big plays down the field. It's really tough on the safeties when you got two guys like that. The problem last year is guys that are deep threats like Ross and Slayton that don't go up and get the ball they need to get pretty damn open for the big play, and with no RBs that threatened anyone the Safeties were never caught that off guard.
Over his nfl career, John Ross caught 41.5% of his passes. That's
He also played on the Bengals on a team that's offensive line is so poor that it doesn't enable him to get down the field for his strengths. If he's becoming a high target guy in the short and intermediate range, he's being used poorly. He's a great 4th WR to have.
both look like they can contribute if used properly, and in Ross'
If it's speed and ability to stretch the field you want, he's it. We haven't had that in years, and we did it with one simple, low-cost signing. The "only" thing is, he needs to get/stay ON the field before he can stretch it.

Agree. His speed will benefit other players too, particularly in the intermediate area of the field. If safeties have to play back so he doesn't burn them, that open things underneath for Rudolph or Shepard.
Guess what folks. Saquon isn’t back yet. When he does get back how long will it be before he is hurt again?
Sorry but I have to see it before I count it.
That doesn't allow the front seven of the defense to handle the run game calls for a safety to come down and free up the deeper pass game.
I think defenses didn't generally commit extra plays to the run box with Saquon back there simply because most front seven defenses could handle us up front because the blocking wasn't good enough.
A dynamic running back that can make something out of nothing won't necessarily bring extra defenders towards the LOS if the blocking isn't good enough to warrant it.

You sound fun.
Really excited to see Anderson and Odenigbo. Both appear to be capable
Of creating turnover opportunities. They go for the ball (more productive) on running and passing plays rather than (statically more attractive) looking for a sack.
I see the Ross upside as Ted Ginn. That would be okay for that price.

Totally agree. Both of these deals are low risk, high reward moves. Someone the other day referenced the effectiveness of the Kawika Michell signing the other day and that’s kind of what these two signings remind me of.

Ross as a 3rd or 4th option could be a nightmare to cover.

Really? I think he’s going to be a steal. Nice pass rush moves.
