Nice Day 2. Rose treaded water and gave the field a chance to catch up. Jordan played well, he's 2 off. Some super rounds of 5-7 under. It was sad watching Rory and Jason Day, great players not so long ago. Day has had back issues, iirc, but Rory still seems like he could come roaring back one of these days. If not, what wasted potential- he should have been an all-time great, talent-wise. Woosnam looked like shit, lol. I missed where he must have broken his putter, but Kim putted damn well with his wood. I don't see either of the guys at -6 being there at the end. My money's on winner coming from Rose, Spieth, Justin Thomas, Finau and Matsuyama. Hopefully, Spieth
I saw Si Woo Kim putting with a hybrid, did he break his and did Ian Woosnam break his too. (I was playing rather poorly today)
Woosnam is 63-years-old.
I agree. Not much juice for tomorrow. I’ll still watch but I’m gonna need some kind of drama to keep me in till the end. Based on history, there probably won’t be much drama with the way things ended today

for Spieth and Thomas fans. Hard to get excited about tomorrow. Matsuyama shot lights out today, great round.

Matsuyama is a very good golfer, but let's not crown him yet. The Master's has a way of debilitating people. Even Spieth crashed and burned(as did Norman) with huge leads. Let's see if Schauffele can put some pressure on him early.

Any major is a real test in the last round. I'm not handing the title to Matsuyama, just saying that the only guy I care about winning is Jordan. He's got to beat Matsuyama by 7 shots, but also has to beat 5 other guys, 3 of which are pretty good players who have been around a while. If Hideki shoots par, Jordan needs a 66 just to tie. He really needs to elevate his game today- yesterday he could hardly hit an iron within 15 feet and his putting was mediocre. I'd be more hopeful with the Jordan of 2015, this guy not as much :) Keeping my fingers crossed.
I don't think anyone is ever "due". If they haven't won a big one yet, it's because they haven't played well enough under pressure yet. And there's no reason to assume a guy will rise above that until he does.
Me too.

I have a weird feeling Xander wins this.
Me too.
So much for that lol
I think someone will make a charge on the back 9 to make it interesting but I agree. I think Hideki is gonna hold on.

Like I said -- He's due

Matsuyama is just a good solid pro.
Pissed off at his drive and then drops a 9 iron to 4 feet.
Was thinking the same thing. Like a cross between a praying mantis and an old lady.
If Xander didn't go bogey-bogey-double on 3, 4 and 5, imagine how good this ending would be

I'm glad you're proud of yourself, lol. But it's just a silly comment. Matsuyama is rated 25th in the world, that doesn't make anyone "due" to win a major. Why wasn't Rory due? He's rated 12th and hasn't won in years. How many years was Mickleson due to win a U.S. Open that he's never won? And the list goes on and on. Matsuyama is good enough to win a Masters, and no better than scores of golfers who are "good enough" and will never win a Masters. He just happened to have a great weekend and won. Good for him.

Xander will not go gently into that good night.

Yup. Killed him.
Xander in the bunker as Jordan gets to -8....

If Xander hits one close he can make this exciting

Xander almost holes it for eagle. He has a tap-in birdie and we could see a big swing here
