What are your favorite or most memorable drum fills, any genre? My top 5.
-In The Air Tonight, Phil Collins
-Won’t Get Fooled Again, middle
-Tom Sawyer, after the lead
-Don’t You Forget About Me, coming out of the middle
-Stairway to Heaven, first where Bonham comes in, then underneath the lead
The other three had to convince and twist Ringo's arm to get him to play that short drum solo too in the first place since he didnt like solos or showing off . He said looking back he's not even sure how he came up with what he put on tape or if he could duplicate it again

Sorry - the 4 bar intro. Always loved that fill - so tasteful.
cued up to the drums - ( New Window )
the percussion during the whole song , terrific
I recently got that album on CD. DTL & Kings and Queens are really the only two memorable songs. You can tell why Snort The Line would've been a more apt title lol
I was friends with his son as a teen. Became familiar with his music
Bill Ward 1970 - ( New Window )
That's really good. Ward played his ass off.
