With Penei Sewell and the Alabama receivers somehow still on the board, a pass rusher to help Leonard Williams and Lorenzo Carter. “He’s incredibly explosive, he’s versatile. I compared him to Frank Clark,” ESPN NFL draft analyst Matt Miller said.
A good pass rusher, hmm. To help Lorenzo Carter, what, the HOF Carter? Sy' has somewhat different views. And Frank Clark, while a nice player, doesn't exactly make me giddy about a comp at 11 overall.
I hate players that don't produce in college. How are they going to produce against more difficult competition? Finishing is the key at ER. I am OK with pressure elsewhere, my edge needs to know how to get home. This is only player mocked to us that gives me dread.
Don Brown put him inside. His responsibility was to stop the run 1st. He took one, week in and out, for the team. Go watch all the games, every snap. You will see an athletic freak who drives tackles weighing 50 lbs more off the ball. Go read Sy's breakdown, he directly talks about his supposed lack of production . Last year everyone was saying Leonard Williams sucks...no production. A lot was the system and his role. Paye will be a better pro in PGs system. Plus, he takes to hard coaching, not everyone can play for JJ.

Exactly. You gotta watch the tape. If the medicals clear, Phillips would be my choice at 11. If they don't clear, the Michigan Man is my next choice.
Bookend tackles potentially for the next 10 years; sign me up.
Get WR and Edge in rounds 2 and 3.
Jalen Hurts
Jalen Raegor
Jaylen Waddle
Just a random fact, on this boring Saturday.
Bookend tackles potentially for the next 10 years; sign me up.
Get WR and Edge in rounds 2 and 3.
Agree. Sewell and Thomas for the next 5+ years is pretty sexy. He could also start off at RG if Peart is impressive.

In his scenario, if Sewell is still there at #11, you do the proverbial "run the card to the podium" and take Sewell and don't look back.

Don’t think for 1 minute that Peart could beat out Sewell for anything. Peart would be the one moving.

Really, a guy that hasn't played a down in 2yrs. before training camp & 0 of those in the NFL. We'll see about that.

Ogden started at OG before he moved to LT. We could easily do the same here.
