Former Major Leaguer Alex Rodriguez and billionaire Marc Lore are finalizing a deal to purchase the Minnesota Timberwolves from majority owner Glen Taylor, sources tell ESPN. Taylor will continue full control of team for two years before Rodriguez and Lore take over in 2023.

So he goes from the Mets to the T'Wolves? Interesting swerve there. KG was rumored to be in a group to purchase the Wolves, but Glen & him have a ton of bad blood so that never took off.

I sorta have a soft spot for the Wolves because I love Minneapolis & that organization-outside of KG's time there-has been a complete trainwreck.

My friend's dad used to own the Wolves in the 1990s. Great city.
