NFT: Interesting NYT article about meeting on zoom to play poker

I'm trying to figure out how you do this.

Don't screen shares take over the screen? looks like half the screen is the poker game and the other half has the normal zoom screen.

Any ideas?

Don't share

I don't think there is any screen share going on in that picture. It just looks like two apps side-by-side, both manually resized to share half the screen. I have done this playing skribbl.io with friend. You play on one half and can see your friends in the other. Works even better with two monitors.

I don't know why I didn't think of that -- yipes -- it seems obvious now that you say it
If you are asking about how to player poker via zoom

My recommendation is download pokerrrrrr2 (weird name I realize) and then just have the zoom call to see people. It’s actually a pretty good app despite having some crazy hands occasionally.

Do Poker Stars and Zoom. Poker Stars tech doesn't look like it's been updated since the early 2000s but it works fine enough

Me and my friends do too, we all use combo of laptop for the poker stars game and iPad for the zoom, set up next to each other

It’s not quite the same as looking each other in the eye during game play, but it’s a lot of fun, talking a little trash and having some laughs while playing
