Frazier hasn't earned anything, but if you're not going give him more than a week, don't make a big deal of announcing on on the first day of ST that he's the starter.

Gardner hit .140 for most of April in 2011 and was allowed to play his way out of it.

he's 26, been here for going on 4 seasons, and these guys are going to run Gardner and Hicks out there until they both need wheelchairs. Frazier has no career with the Yankees and could be s starter elsewhere.

Fire Cashman. He has failed miserably since he dumped Girardi. I note with interest that in Girardi's last season he got a team that wasn't really supposed to compete to within one game of the World Series. Since then the allegedly much stronger Yankees haven't even whiffed the Series.

Put Hicks on notice that he's got to produce a lot better or he'll be gone, too. He's always been more of a tease - or out injured - than a real producer.

Gardner is not the problem. But this is his last season.

is not enjoyable to watch. Very few players actual seem like they give a shit. Many of the young players just seem to keep regressing, or at least not living up to the hype they had. below average opposing pitchers look lights out against this lineup. its beyond frustrating to watch them

Granted it’s still early, but the promise of that 2017 team sure disintegrated fast. I know we are not allowed to bash the Yanks around here, but remember, we are supposed to compete with the Dodgers, not the also rans like the Rays. Just winning 90 games a year shouldn’t be enough. Brining back the same lineup, with the same philosophy, and dumpster diving for starting pitching are supposed to make us confident about this year?

Last thing, and it’s not up for debate, this team just isn’t easy to root for, to me at least. Every hitter is just selling out for power, I hardly see any competitive AB’s against good pitching. Defense is terrible, how many more chances are Sanchez and Torres going to get? And Stanton and Judge, how many consecutive games can they play before they need a break, 4? Maybe 5?

I wonder Cashman will do if this team struggles for a couple of months. Better yet, I wonder what Hal will do? The Rays are almost half punting the season, the Sox are down, the Jays haven’t arrived yet, and the O’s won’t be our punching bags forever. Just finishing first in the division shouldn’t be a cause for celebration.

But they need to stop batting Hicks third. Unfortunately, most of the lineup hasn’t been very good aside from DJ and Judge. I doubt they want to move Gardner or Sanchez though but it would be an upgrade over Hicks.

I'm paying $240 per month for Frontier cable/phone/internet, and another $100-plus for the mlb.tv package. As my cable provider has evidently dropped the Rays' channel from their lineup this year, I cannot watch any Rays/Yankees games anymore (am in the Tampa area).
