Bruins/Flyers/Caps/Sabres/Pens is to have a dumpster fire performance.
I am not going to get caught up in chasing the Bruins, who have 3 games in hand and are 5 points ahead (did BOS play last night?), so to me it's a non-starter to get emotionally invested. I AM emotionally invested to see this team begin to play well on a consistent basis as a building block for next year.
And Laf and Kakko are working hard and skating. Love it.
Howden needs to go
C’mon, Nak! The Rainman routine each and every game thread is stale. Relax, enjoy the budding young studs and exercise some patience. It’s still a work in progress.

What'd I say? Just because I say Howden blows? He does blow.

Quinn sucks! Yeah, definitely sucks! Howden sucks! Yeah, definitely sucks! Why aren’t Kakko and Laf getting more ice time?! Yeah, Quinn definitely sucks!
Dude! A complete rebuild and overhaul just doesn’t happen as quickly as you want. Take a deep breath and enjoy the growth of this, the youngest team in the league.
Blew the fame, not Quinn, fucking clueless fans, unreal. He is coaching great, he gave Chytil a shot, he fycked up, they cry when tge kids get o ice time, they cry when they do abd it don't work out. I guess the Howden assholes will be at it also, in force.
Trouba and Miller play defense, you want Fox and Strome out there 2 minutes on the points, if you know thatbis who the first line power play point men on, Trouba and Miller are tge 2nd power play point men. Lafreniere and Kravtov are not playing the power play yet.
Kravtov and Lafreniere are even practicing much on the power play, they are gelling nicely 5 on 5, Quinn is doing a good job with all of them, you have to be clueless to think otherwise right now the way they are playing in all three zones. I guess when they do good it's all because they are great and when tgey fyck up its Quinn's fault. LOL. I pity your boss.

That's my point, Paul. They SHOULD be on the PP. Trouba and Miller don't offer much on the PP. Trouba has a big shot and K'Andre can get up the ice quickly, but they don't deserve to be on over Laf and Krav. If Krav isn't ready, then yeah, I guess you keep K'Andre on the point for PP2. Fox can play the point on PP1 and Krav can play the point on PP2 for the rest of the season until we get Nils Lundkvist.

What the fuck are you talking? If they're gelling nice on 5 v 5 (which I agree with), why wouldn't you play them on the PP when the opposing team is down a player? You make no sense.

I'd also like to see Laf get more powerplay time, but coaches always put two defensemen on the PP2 unit because they're going to most likely be out there when it gets to even strength and they don't want four forwards and one D out there then. Hence, Trouba and Miller
but I really do feel the Rangers are on the cusp of being a good team and that this plan, with Quinn, is working. We most likely, barring an unforeseen run, will not make the playoffs, but I can't say over the last 10-15 games I am not seeing the team that I wanted to see this season. I even feel like if we made the playoffs (which as I said is unlikely) we could do some damage.
with BOS acquiring Taylor Hall for peanuts. I think he will be very visible piece going forward. Too bad for Sabres, because they have begun to find game, no disgrace losing to them, hard as it was to recognize at the time, been on a bit of a run.
Shaken, not stirred: NYR a lot of pieces in play as talent begins rising to the top and how it should all be configured. Will be interesting. Aside from the paper GMs here doing their paper roster shuffling, what does nag at me a bit is how, now that DQ has been back for a bunch of games, Zib (and Kreider) have lost mojo. Can't help but think there is still needed clearing of the air between coach and 1st line C, just a hunch, probably nothing to it.

Excellent question. It's the only line Quinn won't touch...and it's been the worst line for the last few games.
Because he's Quinn's Tanner Glass. Howden is an awful, awful player. If they waived him, no one would claim him.
Bring up Morgan Barron. I really hope Howden is not a Ranger come Tuesday.
Howden needs to go
Howden needs to go
It's about time he broke up the KZB line. Kravtsov looks great out there.
BTW, a 4th line of Kreider-Rooney-Gauthier would be pretty nasty to play against

I'm with you. Strome and Chytil?
Fun watching the kid line though.

Kakko looked good again. Fuck me, at least we got a point.
