have you been out yet?
sorry but

this thread screams pictures or GTFO. mid life crisis has me considering buying one and I'd enjoy seeing pics of people's bikes.
Spring time is when I miss riding the most...
RC in MD : 4/12/2021 11:00 am : link
I sold my HD V-Rod back before my wife and I started a family since my wife was really not comfortable with me having a motorcycle. While I have gotten used to life without one, I do envy those, who ride whenever spring rolls around.

Stay safe!

I had a bad accident in 2016 because some joker didn’t see me coming and performed a u turn in front of me. Ever since I’ve had a love/hate feeling when spring rolls around. I love being able to get out from hibernation but I hate not being able to ride 🤦🏾‍♂️ I can’t get the buy in from my wife for another one, but I’m no quitter 😂

Do you live in MD (saw Md in your handle)? I'm in MD, and my wife (who's from MD) hates the drivers here with regards to safety, so it was pretty much a done deal when we decided to start having kids that I would give up my motorcycle...lol.
Sold my last bike a few years ago...

really miss riding but there are too many idiots on the road now. One day will get a motocross bike again. It is much safer flying over jumps than riding on the road with people texting.

Yes I’m in Upper Marlboro and the drivers are not biker friendly. I would always try and get away from the beltway. When I had my accident I was about 10 minutes from my house on my way home after riding to Atlanta for the weekend. It was a Sunday evening so not a lot of traffic on the road. The bad part was that the driver never stopped. My bike was totaled so I know there was a good amount of damage to their car. Unfortunately I don’t remember much from the accident.
I LOVE my current bike...

... Indian Scout. The engine is fantastic. A great all-arounder.

Oh man...I'm glad that you are ok now. While I've never had a bad accident, when I was going through infantry officer training for the Marines, I had to spend a night shadowing the staff of an emergency room in a DC hospital observing any traumas that would arrive for training purposes, and all the nurses agreed that the worst trauma that they see are usually motorcycle accident victims. I never forgot our conversations that evening about those traumas that they've seen.

I used to ride down on the coast of NC near Camp Lejeune on HWY17 and the backroads. But once I moved up this way, no thank you.

Took the MSF course 2 years ago and bought this as my first bike. Small, but nimble and fun as hell to throw around. After adding an exhaust, and fuel controller with a new tune, some new body panels and lights to my liking, I really don't see myself getting anything bigger anytime soon.
