NFT: Lakers vs. Knicks at The Garden.

Not sure why the other thread was deleted, but okay? Obviously no LBJ or AD tonight for Lakers, but Kuzma is back. Same Knicks starting 5: Elfrid, RJ, Bullock, Julius, & Noel.

LFG! Kick the Lakers ass!

That's a "pass" from me on Schröder. He's the epitome of average and will be paid significant money (turned down 4 for 84 from LA). I'd far sooner toss money like that at Lonzo or GTJR.

That is insane that he would pass on that. There's no way he's getting more than that.

Multiple sources say it was in the 80 million range, Windhorst says 84.

Who guards the athletic bean pole? I see a bad matchup for RJB tomorrow.

much do guys like McConnell or Caruso get via FA? I'd take either one as part of a Thibs coached team (as depth/rotation fillers not huge adds).

I like Caruso's older brother when we had him

Not being talked about much

But I wouldn’t mind (I know on a shorter term deal) Mike Conley in NY. I think he could really help a young group next year. (Assuming Ball is a no go).
Payton's terrific game was sort of a fluke.
manh george : 4/13/2021 2:59 pm : link
The issue is, that Payton is terrific at getting inside, although his outside shot is awful--28.6% from the three. Having gotten inside with no need for anyone to guard his outside shot, he does extremely well against teams that don't have a shot-blocker. Drummond is of course, a monster rebounder, decent 1 on 1 defender, and pretty much useless protecting the rim. So, drives from Payton that work against Drummond wouldn't work against Anthony Davis--or, say, any of the Knick centers. So miraculously, Payton had a great game. I don't care. I need him gone next year.
I would like Mike Conley

And Lonzo together. He would bring Vet leadership at 20 to 25 minutes like D.Rose.
Conley is coming off making 34 million a year.
At 34 years old what would his next deal be?
15 million per?

Conley has indicated he hopes/expects to say in Utah.

Huh? Not seeing it, not to mention just worlds apart in terms of athleticism, size, and play style. Sure do miss NOVAKAINE though. That 2011 season was fun.
