Taillon vs. Ryu
Yeah this strike zone is a joke. I’m guessing some is getting tossed before this one ends
If Sanchez called those pitches he needs to get back on the bench.

I think they said he’s a new umpire named Ray Charles or something like that
Some rookie they brought up today.
Why would you put the rookie behind the plate if he is there for one day?
Taillon probably still has rust for all the time off and the change of pitching form he now uses.
Great news. Glad you let us know. Hope she is out of the hospital in short order.
Had enough of this wet cow flop of a game. See ya manana!
He is what he eats. Ohhhh! I'll be here all week, try the veal!
My problem is this team is hard to watch, I don’t even care about their record right now, as it’s still early. As much as I don’t like the roster, I also feel that a lot of the personnel people and coaching staff haven’t been doing a good job. Then again, Cashman has been here forever and these are all his people.
Like I said, one WS win since 2009 isn’t really acceptable. And it looks like the trajectory of this current team is still uncertain at this point. Cashman has to answer for how it got to this present state from 2017.
Sanchez needs to be dealt in a package for either a good shortstop or a top of the rotation starter. I was really hoping the catcher from KC was going to shake loose, but they were smart and extended him. Looks like he's tenured there. But we need a guy like that behind the plate. Sanchez is no Posada. We need at least a (Jose) Molina type. And it seems like Higgy could handle being the everyday guy for a year and see if his power is all illusion.
We have some building blocks (Judge, DJ, Urshela, Hicks, Voit, Torres, Frazier). I know people hate Stanton, but I think he's perfect as a DH. I think Judge is a culture guy who we should pay.
They're not far off, but it just seems like Cashman has no feel for the human element of the game. Too much stats.
I really can't believe Jay Bruce and Rougned Odor were Cashman solutions. Just because you can't spend money doesn't mean we need these fucking shitholes. Rather see our kids get chances. But they trade away Estrada... ugh
AVG .143
OBP .241
SLG .208
OPS .449
All those stats are last in MLB but the Yankees do lead the MLB.
Pathetic!
That was little league embarrassing
But Sanchez will hit a 475 foot HR with a 120 mph velocity!
I like this Abreu kid though. He's got some stuff to work with.
Lol.
I would have never gotten rid of Girardi...
I know, I know...Voit is out. But come on. This shit doesn't exactly inspire confidence to the point where I can last more than 10 seconds with Margot Robbie. I'm overreacting possibly. But damn this is hard to watch.

So true. I'm so grossed out with Bruce and Odor. Two complete scrubs.

Ha, I stopped watching because I did not want to be angry. I like to read the comments because at least I can commiserate... I really do not have a problem with Odor. He is a legit 2nd baseman and he did start the rallies for the past two wins.
But I could not take the pitch calls that coughed up the 1st two runs. Gosh darn it is so obvious the Higashioka is the better catcher all around. I guess baseball now is run by the GM and you get a field manager that does as told instead of managing the game.
All this shit about resting is nonsense. Very few of these guys need rest this early. Play them, get them into a rhythm and then get them rest as the year goes on. Do 25 year olds need rest every third day? Are other teams doing it? Yes, I can see catchers getting 2 days off per week as they get the crap beat out of them daily, plus all the squatting. (Besides I'd like Higgy to get more time as he is more dependable) Players over 30 y/o ok, a bit more rest. IDK just seems this team never gets going.
I can be patient with Taillon and Kluber, they have to get their confidence and mechanics back.
Tests negative should be back tomorrow.
Maybe the lineup comes around and Voit's eventual return helps with that.
Rotation, though, looks like Cole and question marks.

Do you want to call this bad luck, or incompetence, it’s hard to say.
Perhaps either Gil or Medina will make that quantum leap later in the year if Sevy doesn’t round back to form?
I’d like the team to make a statement move, like benching Sanchez. He should only see the light of day when Stanton pulls a muscle I didn’t know exist and takes his annual summer vacation. Hicks should bat 9th and 9th only. Pencil in Frazier at 7th and forget about it. Somehow Torres needs to move to second, his defense will only drag down his offense. Estrada would’ve been a good candidate as a short term plug-in until we can figure out something better long term. But, no, Cashman needed to get Odor onto this team ASAP. So frustrating...
Excuse. Team is not good. Was lucky to even make the playoffs in a 60 game season last year. Team consistently chokes offensively in the playoffs it is like a broken record now. The rest of the division is not good either I don’t buy Boston and Tampa and Toronto are average to the problem is Yankees can’t beat either of them.
