This roster composition stinks. It isn’t conducive for championships. Too many swing and miss guys over reliant on the HR. Tallion looks like yet another starting pitcher project destined to fail miserably in NY like Weaver, Nathan Eovaldi, Sonny Gray, Javier Vazquez and the legendary Carl Pavano. And speaking of the starters, other than Cole, is there anyone else they trot out there on a nightly basis you feel confident about giving you quality and length? I’m sure they’ll out slug teams through the summer but it’s a deferent animal in October. Cole can’t pitch every game and counting on homers as your primary source of offense is folly.

with this team. Personally I would rather have someone else at the helm, but most GM’s aren’t very good either, plus I don’t think Hal has the guts to move on from Cashman.

My problem is this team is hard to watch, I don’t even care about their record right now, as it’s still early. As much as I don’t like the roster, I also feel that a lot of the personnel people and coaching staff haven’t been doing a good job. Then again, Cashman has been here forever and these are all his people.

Like I said, one WS win since 2009 isn’t really acceptable. And it looks like the trajectory of this current team is still uncertain at this point. Cashman has to answer for how it got to this present state from 2017.

Didi should have been re-signed. Torres shouldn't be playing short.

Sanchez needs to be dealt in a package for either a good shortstop or a top of the rotation starter. I was really hoping the catcher from KC was going to shake loose, but they were smart and extended him. Looks like he's tenured there. But we need a guy like that behind the plate. Sanchez is no Posada. We need at least a (Jose) Molina type. And it seems like Higgy could handle being the everyday guy for a year and see if his power is all illusion.

We have some building blocks (Judge, DJ, Urshela, Hicks, Voit, Torres, Frazier). I know people hate Stanton, but I think he's perfect as a DH. I think Judge is a culture guy who we should pay.

They're not far off, but it just seems like Cashman has no feel for the human element of the game. Too much stats.
