Based on all we are hearing it is clear rhat Edge is very high on our list and probably even higher than OL (if grades are close).
Sounds like if Smith should drop his grade is so high based on our board that he'd probably be a tier above almost everyone else.
Let's say the draft breaks our way and Smith makes it to our pick at 11.
If we take Smith , I think we will be ultra motivated to secure one of our top DEs in our board before they dry up.
That would likely mean a trade up from 42 using one or more of the following: Engram, our 3rd (76) or our 4th.
How high up do we need to go to secure Oweh? Or could we wait and he still probably make 42?
yeah, and as long as I've been here, our asshat info has never been wrong
What???
Where should he go? Mid to late second. His production is just not there.
1 — Edge
2 — OL
3 or later — WR
Very doable given the talent pool at the respective positions, where the Giants are picking, and who is likely to be there.
18 to Miami.... Interesting he may be out of reach for round 2 even via trade up.

Tend to agree. I think he'll easily be a first round player, but that doesn't mean he should be.
That is an intriguing assessment.

who has a background in scouting said of Oweh, "When he steps on an NFL field, he will be one of the five or six best athletes in the league. Not one of the best DEs; one of the best period." That is an intriguing assessment.

So the Giants should return to the Reese/Ross attitude of picking athletes vs football players?
for every danielle hunter there are lots more mike mamula's.

You wouldn't take him at 6 but via a trade up into the bottom of 1st or a trade back from 11.

he's just an athlete at this point. i'd rather draft a better football player

i'd defer to the judgement of coach spencer but football is not about being the best athlete. it's about little things. anticipation, recognition etc. if you are late to recognize something it doesn't matter how fast or strong you are

Well then Paye is the best pick at 11.
