NY Post Mock Draft 2.0

Angel Eyes : 4/13/2021 8:07 pm
So the NY Post has posted a second mock draft. Here’s a rundown:

Round 1: OLB Azeez Ojulari
Round 2: WR Kadarius Toney
Round 3: OL Quinn Meinerz
Round 4: DT Tyler Shelvin
Round 6, Pick A: S JaCoby Stevens
Round 6, Pick B: LB Justin Hilliard

For fans of Ojulari, looks like the NY Post (or at least Paul Schwartz) is in your boat.

Not in rounds 2 and 3 but I know you meant the first.
It’s funny how these

mocks change like every other day lol. I honestly have no clue who we are drafting at this point. Which is really a good thing.

That is true of the edge players in general at 11.
You might need or like an edge
Carl in CT : 4/13/2021 8:35 pm : link
But you must understand there are 5 edge prospects are rated fairly close. Their value ranges from 18- 32 on most rankings. What the poster is saying value is not wasting the #11 pick when you could drop down to #25 and get the same type of player. The GA kid, 2 from Miami, the Mich kid etc. All ranked close together.

That’s four edges there; Ojulari, Rousseau, Phillips, and Paye. Who’s the 5th?

My guess is Joe Ossai.

But Sy has Ossai and Joe Tryon and Carlos Basham all rated very close at 80-81, so that's 7.
Don’t like Ojulari that high,
Simms11 : 4/13/2021 8:39 pm : link
but I like the 2nd and 3rd round picks. Meinerz would look great in Blue. I love his gritty attitude. Reminds me a lot of a guy named Chris Snee.
I am not a fan of the first pick, but

The rest of the draft looks pretty good. We could do a lot worse than this
Oweh
Carl in CT : 4/13/2021 8:50 pm : link
Was who I had at #5. NFL network rankings had 5 Edge rushers before the GA kid. (Might have been Bucky). I’m just saying they are close with opinions that differ. Throw Tyron in there also.
From 2-4
tyrik13 : 4/13/2021 9:06 pm : link
I actually love these picks. Not so much in the first rd
2, 3, & 4
LeonBright45 : 4/13/2021 9:09 pm : link
Toney, Meiner, & Shelvin will all a round before. They likely won't be available at these picks.

Bucky’s top 5 didn’t even have Ojulari as an edge, his list had him as an OLB.

If that’s the case then

Collins is ahead of him also. I like the GA player I’m agreeing with the comment waste of value. At #25 same type of player. Don’t use #11

That he is; he’s no.2 behind Collins on that list.
Ojulari is a very good player, team captain as a freshmen

Judge was at UGA pro day. Don’t forget the NYG LB coach used to be with UGA. There are connections.
I don't think Paul Schwartz

So if there are no trade bites, should we NOT draft the player we think is the best fit? Reach or not?
Only two offensive players?
Nomad Crow on the Madison : 4/13/2021 10:05 pm : link
That would be an unmitigated disaster of a draft IMHO. Tyler Shelvin? We need three nose tackles? Really? Jacoby Stevens, a safety who runs about 4.8? Really?

On Shelvin: I’m not a fan of nose tackles (I’m a 4-3 guy), but two words: Hog Mollies. The other reason is that both Austin Johnson and Danny Shelton would be gone after this year and hence it would be time to draft another nose tackle.

you couldn’t even pick up one extra pick by moving down 10 spots? Even if was an extra 7th you’d be getting the same player you wanted at 11 and get a small benefit. And I bet you’d get more than a 7th
