1. Ja'Marr Chase WR (high floor, the way he physically overpowered older SEC corners as a Soph was incredible)
2. Devonta Smith WR (the weight keeps him below Chase but I'm in love with his skillset)
3. Penei Sewewll OT (highest ceiling in the class, power/balance is a question mark but tools are all there)
4. Kyle Pitts TE/WR (Catch Radius/Size/Quickness combo is rare, can he get open as an NFL WR instead of College TE?)
5. Patrick Surtain CB (lacks elite quickness which is a real concern, has everything else you look for in a CB)
6. Rashawn Slater OL (high floor, not overpowering but really well-rounded skillset reminiscent of Zack Martin)
7. Jaelan Phillips DE/Edge (major injury concerns but I just think he's easily the best Edge and has a very high ceiling)
... I just really think Smith is going to end up being one of the best to ever do it. And I also think the same about Surtain (and have for a few years now).

There is a definite drop off after 6 so hoping 5 QB’s go before us or someone likes Horn. Horn had an amazing Pro Day and you drool over Auburn footage, but he also had many more games where he looked like Eli Apple.
Are any of us Surtain? I’m not Surtain he’ll even be there. And, if he is, are the Giants Surtain they want him at 11..It’s a dilemma for Surtain, imv.
Armstead - I think the top cornerbacks in this draft are good but are more back half of Rd1 types.
I saw a good bit of Surtain play and plenty of SEC receivers got the jump on him. Very solid player and good pedigree obviously but he doesn't make my top 7.
I also think many times the top CB in the draft is automatically force-fed into being considered a blue-chip or very near it when in fact they are just a good red-chip. That imv is Surtain.
