I mean we won by 10, but somehow I feel without him we would've lost. He's the only one we can consistently rely on in the 4th quarter. He literally scored the only 11 points the Knicks had in the entire first 6 min of that 4th quarter. Thank god Randle woke up up in the last 6 min.
and Clyde describing it with his Clyde adjectives is like porn for the ears...
Along with Kenny Albert, who sounds just like his dad Marv, who I listened to on radio announcing Knicks games when Clyde was the Knicks' PG.
Yes, listening to Knicks games on the radio. Hey - technology changes over the years.
Del I started following the Knicks in the late 70's listening to Marv do the games on the radio as the home games were on cable and we didn't have it yet. Even Marty Glickman did some games back then filling in for Marv.

Yup and yup: But to me Marv was magic, his timing, intonation, inflection, enthusiasm--his love of the game just shone through. Kenny much better at b-ball than hockey, where his dad was also good.
Sorry to butt in, guys, haven't had a shred of interest in the Knicks for a decade or more, clown show in the stands (Oakley), on the court, and in the FO, what a run of misfits as GMs and coaches, so now I'm trolling a bit.
And for the Marv days: Thibs kind of summons images of Holzman for me, nerdy, middle aged, bald(ing) white guy but commanding respect because of his knowledge of the game and the results on the court.
and Luka nails a circus three to win it. I told myself a month ago I was done watching Dallas games....
Memphis completely choked that game away. Grayson Allen is a talented player but his attitude will always hurt him. How about him laughing after missing both free throws? But Luka is ridiculous- such a special player.
This has been an awesome year. Such a pleasure to watch and Thibs deserves coach of the year. I think Randle has a shot at all nba too...

My Directv receiver seems to be having troubles and it was recording the NO feed instead of MSG, until I corrected it about 20 min. into the game. I don't mind listening to other broadcasters for a little bit, but it sure was nice when I caught up and could listen to Clyde instead of the others.
Just watched the replay - that shot by Luka was insane.
Yeah, watching it live I thought it was a two-pointer to tie it, and may have been after the buzzer anyway. Didn't even consider that it could be a three-pointer. Just shows you the great ones have this extra special feel for the game.
Haha, only saw the minute long clip on highlights, but KP
didn’t join his teammates in celebrating. He was wide open too, but Luka could make the shot himself while stumbling. It must eats at him, and his idiot brother, that now he’s only carrying Doncic’s jock in Dallas.

He made a huge shot down the stretch and had some key defensive plays and rebounds as well. He played very well last night.
His brother hasn’t been in the US for a few years now and I’m guessing he’s pretty happy to have a max contract playing with Luka. It also seemed like either it was a 2 or didn’t get it off in time so maybe that’s why he wasn’t celebrating.

He has voiced his displeasure with his shots and playing time in the 4th quarter all year..
I dont think he took a shot in the 4th last night, that is probably why he was unhappy..
remember there was a report that part of the reason he was unhappy with Knicks was because they were planning on bringing someone in who ws better than him and that player would be the face...He wanted a say in who the Knicks signed
I watched the game. He took a few shots in the 4th. He hit a really tough shot with a minute left to cut the lead to 3. Also had some key defensive plays on Valinucas.
I’m also specifically talking about last night but he played well. I also don’t understand the desire from Knicks fans to shit all over him. I honestly don’t blame him for wanting to leave the Steve Mills Knicks. They were a dumpster fire.
looking at Knicks salary cap capacity and players that would be worth re-signing. Do they get to re-sign Burks and Noel (while keeping Robinson) without breaking the bank?
Do they figure out a way to combine picks/assets in order to move up into the early teens in the draft? Do they find a high-quality shooter FA who is something less than a superstar, such as Fournier? Do they get Lonzo Ball or someone at that level at pg?
Watching this game, I appreciate Thibs. I know the Bucks are good but like the Hawks they play undisciplined hoops to a great extent. There is so much 3-point chucking in the NBA these days. I prefer watching the Knicks.

I am very intrigued by Fournier, btw.
Off season is simple for me, get a point hopefully Lonzo and add a lefit all around shooting guard..
I still think Beal will become available, if not i go after Trent or Powell
Beal is projected to cost a huge amount in trade. If there is a really good scoring 3 around instead of a 2, Barrett can do fine at the two when everyone around him is making shots. (e.g., Fournier.) There aren't twos around, except possibly all-stars that he can't guard. And, as he start making dribble threes--which he cannot do now--his value at the two grows.
I also need the second team to remain filled, and to play d. Beating a team that has stars requires great shooting, great d, and depth. The Knicks can get there as Barrett and Quickley grow up--if they keep and fill their second team. This is the year for that.

Yeah i should kf said wing rather than 2 but i think its interchangeable..
I agree on the bench, i want to keep Rose, Burks and maybe even bullock
and if they buy a wing and a pg and get two quality backups out of the draft--in three tries, or in two tries if they trade up--the team will be basically filled. I think that some players that probably slot into the second team, like Noel, may wish to stay around. I would love Robinson plus Noel, and a third big as a backup.
A true quality team that plays with passion would have the Garden rocking like nothing since Reed/Frazier or the best 2-3 years of Ewing. And everyone on the team would bask in it, and players around the league know that. A lot of sports pundits don't. Can you imagine 15,000 fans chanting "de-fense" at the top of their lungs? That would add 5 turnovers a game. The homecourt advantage would set records, except possibly for the Kobe Lakers and the Alcindor Lakers and a couple of Celtic teams.
It’s silly for The Knicks to dream about any of the draft’s top-tier prospects, but there will plenty of talent with star potential in the 15-25 range, an area of the draft where they will likely have two selections. One player who they could select in that range is Baylor’s Davion Mitchell.
The Knicks got very lucky this year in terms of the unusual depth of this draft, given their two picks in the mid-late teens, and their Detroit second rounder. A pg, a wing and a big is a potential combination. Link - ( New Window )
I would sign up right now for the two Baylor guards
+19 in 13 minutes. Interesting career this guy has had.
Knicks only allowed 17 points in the 4th
I think the 4th quarter scoring by my count was:
Burks - 14
Randle - 7
Gibson - 2
I dont think he has much more of a career. I think he has actually gotten bigger.
LOL
Worse for the Magic or the Bulls?

is looking worse and worse..

For the Bulls, i know the first is top 3 protected but they do not look good right now..

In Thibs we trust...
The teams that don't get the 7th or 8th seed are in the lottery.
I actually kind of like the play in format. Gonna be fun, I think. Hopefully we get the 6th and can just watch it, lol

Chicago looks in trouble for the playoffs.
Washington and Toronto are making a big push.
Indiana is starting to play well.
Hopefully the Knicks grab the 6th spot and let Miami, Charlotte, Indiana, toronto, and washington fight it out.
