TE Kyle Rudolph will wear #80 for the NYG

Anakim : 4/15/2021 10:00 pm
Posted this picture on Instagram and Twitter.

Surprised he didn't go for #89 after his fellow Golden Domer, Mark Bavaro

Fuck I thought he was going to be an all time great for us....let's hope Rudolph can play anywhere near Shockey's level in his younger years... Cool ass picture either way
Looks

like he had to negotiate with Alex Bachman, who is now #15.
Ugh

80 brings good memories of McConkey and Cruz, but overall, bad memories of Shockey.

I agree 89 would have been a better choice.

Big shoes to fill

That was Bob Mrosko's number
I mean, he brought drama on this house BEFORE he was signed

So he’s got that part down.

It’s Chris Calloway to me.
Didn’t want Shockey but learned to love him

Kyle looks great with 80. My favorite off season signing along with Ragland.

These 2 signing remind me of smash mouth Giants football.
Weird that they couldn't photoshop

the captain C off KR's jersey.

He may well become one of the team captains, but it seems premature to show it here.
Loved Shockey absolute beast tough as nails. Take his kind

Bastid! I was just going to post that!
When I see #80, Walton is the first player I think of. When I see #89

No one other than Bavaro comes to mind.
Love the picture of his family all wearing

Giants shirts and colors.

Sacrilegious, but Amani Toomer comes to mind.

What?? Shockey for all his faults balled out early on. That guy played with reckless abandon. You can't have BAD memories of Shockey. He just kind of wore out his welcome later on (injuries really did him in because if healthy he was far less a headache than OBJ ever was).
He should wear 38 in honor

Absolutely! That preseason game where he trucked the entire Opposing D on his way to scoring... I was like UH OH! We’ve got ourselves a difference maker! Still one of my favs (if only for that small timeframe sadly)

yeah, Shockey sure did suck here, lol

4 playoff years out of 6 seasons in NY. multiple pro bowls. And he helped the 07 team win a super bowl despite missing the playoffs.

Bad memories? I shudder to think of how you would perceive an actual bad player.

Oh, he did drop a pass in the playoff game. I guess that's enough to tarnish his legacy here?
