agree 1000% buddy...Waddle is the one I want most!
Waddle seems like the perfect complement to Golladay. That being said, either would be a huge boost to this offense. We need all the weapons we can get. Add a hopefully healthy Barkley, watch out.
at 11. My next choices in order of ranking would be: Paye, Parsons, Vera-Tucker, Slater
+1, I might put Slater in front of Vera-Tucker though. What do you like more about Vera-Tucker compared to Slater? I think they’re both nice prospects. Just curious.

Everything I’ve read about VT (especially Sy’s review) seems like he would not only be an awesome fit for NYG locker room but actual style of play. He just screams Giant to me for some reason. He’s not a mauler, doesn’t seem stiff at all and has really good movement for our scheme, and seems to be an elite pass protector. I also put pretty high emphasis on the fact that Gil Brandt thinks he’s the 6th best player in the draft.
Slater - I get the love for him. He put up great numbers at the pro day. I just don’t think he’s gonna be great for some reason, just a feeling. He did opt out, not saying that’s a negative but it is a thing. VT chose to play after the PAC 12 restarted. I think as a “prospect” Slater is definitely higher rated, but as a football player, I think VT will have the better career.
Personally, I like the attempts to rank / order the players more than the mock drafts. In the mock drafts (particularly Kiper), they seem to overemphasize need over value / BPA, especially for the very top of the 1st round.
The way most of today's mock's work, the Giants drafting LT at 2nd overall in 1981 (when the linebacker unit was among the best unit on the team) or drafting Carl Banks 3rd overall in 1984 would have been considered major mistakes, since the "top need" wasn't addressed.
In reality, more than two QBs will be picked in the top 10, so hopefully one of Parsons, Slater or Surtain will be available in addition to one of Waddle or D Smith.
We'll then see how willing the Giants will be to pass on a 1st round WR (which I think they should do) and take BPA non-QB, non-WR and grab a WR in round 2 or 3.
I'm becoming more convinced that OL or a defensive player would be the best pick at #11.

Thanks Ryan, good reasoning. Love Gil Brandt and always respect his rankings as well. The nice thing this year is we can actually draft BPA and are not essentially forced to draft one position. Let’s just hope they pick a stud player, regardless of position because I have a feeling we won’t be picking in the top 15 next year.
Are any of these guys really game changers in the mold of Rice, Bryant, Fitzgerald or even Metcalf? I think our current group of WRs is good enough; I can’t say that about our 2 starting OGs. We need to find the next Ard, Benson, Snee or Seubert.
mocked to the Vikings at 14, yet he is a reach at 11???
On pure talent Phillips deserves to be the first defensive player off the board potentially as high as 4th overall. The problem is he is one hit from his career being over. That is an awfully huge gamble for many teams to take.

Based on his ranking, these are the top non-QBs:
3. Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU (WR1)
4. Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon (OT1)
5. DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama (WR2)
6. Micah Parsons, LB, Penn State (LB1)
8. Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama (WR3)
9. Rashawn Slater, OL, Northwestern (OT2)
10. Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama (CB1)
13. Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina (CB2)
14. Azeez Ojulari, EDGE, Georgia (EDGE1)
15. Alijah Vera-Tucker, OL, USC (OT3)
16. Kwity Paye, EDGE, Michigan (EDGE2)
17. Christian Darrisaw, OT, Virginia Tech (OT4)
18. Jaelan Phillips, EDGE, Miami (EDGE3)
20. Zaven Collins, LB, Tulsa (LB2)

Micah Parsons: "Huh?"
Doesn’t that depend on what his grade is relative to who else is left at the time. Could be a reach could not be a reach.
