without Burks. RJ in the 3rd was massive. Jules was a beast. Noel with a huge block to stifle what could have been a big momentum change. The physical defense against these divas was awesome. And Frank gave a couple of very key minutes with a big three and some D.

After a Knicks basket, KP goes to inbound the ball, the ball is kind of rolling towards Doncic, he tries to chip (as in soccer) the ball over to KP. KP is sort of leaning forward anticipating a more accurate ball, as he bats the ball back in to Doncic, his foot lands inbounds. By rule, that COULD be a violation although I understand the ref not calling that, but at the very least, that should be delay of game on Luka and a tech free throw for the Knicks.
Its NOT ridiculous either. Opposing players get called for it all the time tossing the ball to the inbounder and the inbounder lets it go. Thats why coaches tell players not to touch it after the basket. What if a Knick on his way back turned suddenly to try and jump a lazy pass and recovered that ball? Does the ref just blow it dead? That would be bullshit.
Ref should have given a free throw to the Knicks so that Doncic doesnt do stupid shit like that.

Yea but Im pretty sure KP swatted at least one of his shots. KP altered several foray s to the hoop. He was doing his job down there. The knicks did a great job shooting from outside and KP didnt have much on his plate as far as rim protection.

The interesting thing about Barrett is the lack of hype despite playing in NYC (Zion also has a distinct lack of hype despite killing it). He got shafted from the All-Rookie team (he did have bad advanced stats) and the recent Top 25 under 25 team that I believe ESPN did.
His whole issue was outside shooting but he’s been above 40% from 3 for an extended multiple month stretch at this point + improved his FT%. He’s not a sniper by any means but he has found his shot. That was always the key to his potential, whether he’d find his shot or not. I think he has multiple all-star games in his future if he keeps this up. The media better start giving him some more love.
Good call on Grant, but how much of that is due to him being The Man in Detroit? And the Pistons are terrible.
Absolutely. But he was a 3nD role player who nobody thought had an offensive game like he’s showing. He’d be my #2 on the MIP behind Randle in my list. His shooting is better than anyone thought.
He’ll be traded to a contender within the next year or two imo. He had a very valuable skillset.
Barrett will add three huge parts to his game in years to come.
1) Even more strength over a man's strength at a boy's age;
2) A stop-and-pop
3) A dribble-and-shoot 3 pointer. Everything right now is catch and shoot. Adding a dribble and shoot, his % might not increase much, but his volume would, a whole lot.
