And he has the game tape to match. He is my CB1 over Surtain at this point.

Jaycee Horn is a CB prospect in the 2021 draft class. He scored a 10 RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 1 out of 1748 CB from 1987 to 2021.
Splits projected, times unofficial.
Adding bench keeps him there, but we need agis

Ooof, I don't remember that watching him. That's tough to beat out of guys. Especially since that doesn't work in a vacuum, generally means they are very handsy in general which doesn't translate to NFL. See - Eli Apple. At least Horn has unbelievable athleticism to match.
I hope he goes top 10, infact I think he'll be the 1st CB off the board (over Surtain).
Because I hate passing on value and depending on who drops he may be BPA when we pick. If we didn't have 30M tied up AAV in our top 2 CBs and Holmes at Slot, he'd make much more sense.
That'd be great because it would almost garantee one of the blue chip pass catchers to drop to us.
While I love the teaching idea, there's more to it than that. When your whole football playing days today you've relied on rerouting your guy with your hands during routes, it doesn't say much at how well a guy can cover in the NFL. Does that make sense? It's not so much the hand usage and penalties, it's learning how to cover without leaning on that crutch.
Bingo. Smith toughest cover even for top 10 CBs in this draft.
