Rosenblatt: Based on recent history with the NFL’s 11th pick

Giants look to be in good shape..

Over the last 10 NFL Drafts, just about every player picked at No. 11 has turned into a contributing role player or a bona fide Pro Bowler. Last year’s 11th pick was Jets left tackle Mekhi Becton, who already looks like a star. Ten years ago, it was J.J. Watt.

Split to me. Good and bad.

I mean that's the floor I would expect with #11 overall.

The thing is, Fluker actually performed rather well for us albeit in a limited stint here. I really wanted us to re-sign him

Same here, he would come cheap; and same with Okwara who put up some impressive numbers in '20 for the juggernaut Lions
Pretty good recent history at this spot

Agreed - over Fulton. He is flawed but he is a great run blocker and can play tackle in a pinch.
At this point in their careers, I'll take Fulton over Fluker...

Or Trai Turner, for that matter. Although Fulton had a down year in 2020, over the last several years he's been more dependable and more durable than either Fluker or Turner. In my opinion, there wasn't much of a loss replacing Kevin Zeitler with Zach Fulton.

To be clearer, I should have said, I wanted to re-sign him for tge next season after he played rather well in 6 games for us..I have no opinion on whether or not we should have signed him, present day..

I liked him better than most, especially as a run blocker at RG. But that said, has not played up to what you would like as your 11th pick in the draft. Drafting is hard... lol
There are a couple of duds in there

but it looks to be about an 80% hit rate so, agree, a reason for optimism.
I'm optimistic.

In exchange for the Eagles throwing game 17 to prevent the Giants from going to the playoffs, the Giants will either draft a Hall of Famer at #11, or trade the pick, and with whatever pick acquired in exchange, draft a Hall of Famer.
