Should we assume he's just camp fodder at this point and nothing more?
He came to the Giants last year, under the International Pathway Program. Like last year I believe he will not count toward the 90 man roster and if he winds up back on the Practice Squad he won't count toward the ten man roster. I think the program is only good for two year participation.
He's studying to be a doctor, but he put that on hold to fulfill a dream to play the sport he loves in the biggest league in the world. He'll be playing at the same position as the best RB in football. Pretty cool stuff. I wish him the best of luck.
the videos of him playing in Germany were really fun to watch

So is this an international pathway contract or a real NFL deal?
So under this International program, does he actually come over and participate with the team in any fashion or is this simply like a sponsorship deal?

This is a good question. Poorly written article because it does not make it clear if he is back under the exemption or if he counts against the roster now.
That is some really poor defensive play in that video. Guys getting spun around, falling down, stumbling while changing direction, flat out failing to tackle...
He could be like a poor man's Christian McCaffrey. He has very good speed, quickness, vision, toughness, and a feel for the game. Follows his blocks well until he sees some daylight and hits the jets. He makes outstanding lateral cuts in the open field to avoid tacklers without losing speed. He has some good intangibles and he is here for good reason. The Giants expect him to do what he expects himself to do which is to make this team and contribute on offense & special teams, even if he is just on the practice squad this year it would be a big step considering the level of competition he came from.
I was intrigued when the Giants added this guy last year.
Had fantasies they might have finally found "The Rolex in The Garbage Can". After all, he looked good on the video playing Europe.
And I was excited to watch his few brief appearances on the field, though I don't remember when when they occurred. And there's a reason for that; my rough impression was a player with the level of talent and skills that would have made making a Div. III squad a challenge.
If the Giants aren't doing it for the exemption, I can't understand why they are.
he's shifty all right but that's some of the worst tackling I've ever seen...
As impressive as that video is, when he was actually on the field playing with and against actual NFL players, he was noticeably slower and less athletic than any other player on the field.
Big kid? It says 6 foot, 198 pounds
Should we assume he's just camp fodder at this point and nothing more?

Maybe a little light in the pants but he's tall for a RB

Hear anything at all about this kid last year?

Someone might finally knock Seawright from his perch!
