Been curious to me. There is little to say now. Asking about FA makes sense. What information is going to be answered about the draft? Here is what will be said, "We felt like we had a strong FA period where we addressed a lot of needs which now allows us to go BPA in the draft." There, I saved everyone time.
It's Showtime...

It’s a pre-draft presser. Happens every year.

That's exactly why they have them when they do. Easier questions lol

Yes, but they have had more at curious times. The last one was a shock to everyone. People were speculating Gettleman was out and O'Brien was in. Lol. I feel like ever since Gettleman felt bad for Shurmur taking on all the media sessions during that horrible year he wanted to have more. I guess they feel now is a better time than during the season which I agree with. But these have just turned into fluff PCs.
Can't Wait
HMunster : 11:51 am : link
for the inevitable "If one of the top QB's falls to you at #11, would you draft one as a replacement for Daniel Jones?" question.
no matter what he says
UConn4523 : 11:53 am : link
its going to be dissected, picked apart and used for memes. That's 100% guaranteed.
I still enjoy hearing from them
rasbutant : 11:56 am : link
I don't want them to give anything away. But i still want to hear from them just the same.
Which dopey beat will ask DG if he will draft
ZogZerg : 12:02 pm : link
one of the top 4 QBs if they fall to #11?

Giants currently planning on two separate Zoom calls this week headlined by Dave Gettleman:

Tuesday will be free agency wrap with Gettleman and VP of football ops/asst GM Kevin Abrams

Thursday will be pre-draft call with Gettleman and director of college scouting Chris Pettit

These pre-draft press conferences are
eric2425ny : 12:18 pm : link
so stupid lol. They literally say next to nothing in all of them.

“Hi beat writers, here’s a complete view of our draft board including rankings by position. Feel free to take pictures and share on Twitter and any publication you see fit!”
I enjoy the dissection that actually goes on here from the pressers.
chick310 : 12:39 pm : link
Usually worth a few good debates/threads.

And the memes are just light-hearted fun. Don't see the need to be so dramatic about them.
These press conferences
before, during and after all seem to focus on the same thing.....BPA.

I like when they use a lot of words but say very little which is how it should be done.

Does anybody think Petit
Has the inside track to GM of the Giants? Over the last few years they have been pushing him and Abrams to the forefront. I know people will disagree and say they may be part of the problem but I personally think Abrams has done a great job with the cap. He isn't the decision maker. He is just given the price to work with. The fact we were able to front load contracts last year was great and somewhat unheard of in the NFL. This year everyone complained early on that we had no cap space this year. We know that is false now. I think Abrams has done his job well. I wouldn't be opposed to a co-GM situation here with Abrams and Petit with Judge also getting a say and basically being the tiebreaker.
Expect...There are good players in every round
Extensive research every year....this year especially with all the opt outs.

FA has allowed us to concentrate on BPA...

The trenches allows one to compete

Build around Daniel.....

Now, I would enjoy...

Aren't you the one that called me a racist fool for not drafting Haskins?

cant wait for the bbi posters to have melt down and go on long winded rants and post walls-of-text about getty.
If he said that about haskins

There's a

Maybe it feels that way, but go back to when gettleman was hired. They always did this. They did press conferences at the end of the season, during the combine and prior to the draft. John Mara always did one after the owners meetings. Nothing has changed in these press conferences.

The only impromptu press conferences are when there has been a major move like obj getting traded, shurmur fired or Eli retiring
Wasn't the last one they just did a few weeks ago with John Mara

going right into answering questions impromptu?

What's wrong with the current situation. Gettleman the punching bag. Let him take the heat so the others can do there jobs.
Gettleman doesn’t take the heat
