+/-... apparently it is going to be later than ever with the 17th game as a late add and other COVID-related jockeying. In speaking to someone "in the know", my takeaway was not to expect any 'marquee' home games in the Northeast or West Coast until later in the season so as to ensure local capacity restrictions are less of a concern.
After releasing the NFL schedule in May last year, it looks like the league has decided to move forward with the same timeline in 2021. According to the Sports Business Journal, the 2021 NFL schedule will be released during the second week of May with the exact date still to be finalized. What this means is that the schedule will likely be released somewhere between May 10-14.
and maybe International games soon though. Those have to be figured out already based on logistics needs etc.
Assuming TB opens at home on a Thursday night then I think we are looking at one of the following:
No at TB
Dal at TB
or
Mia at TB
The TB at NE game will most certainly be later in the year, on a Sunday Night to get a packed crowd and HUGE audience.
With NO cutting Brees and rebuilding I think the NFL will try to put those games later in the year when NO has gelled a bit. I think DAL, MIA, or BUF will play the opening game at TB.
RE: I would think we will hear of some National games
We'll see...
