I am listening in to the PC and for the most part it is just standard pre draft talk but it has some interesting tidbits.
Abrams just said 2022 Salary Cap could be a bit of challenge depending on how the cap is structured. Said after that they should be fine. That was a pretty honest answer.
DG believes he is an inside out side player, very flexible, can play the ball and very versatile.
I will write up what I remember of all the questions if people are interested.

Absolutely and thanks.
Frankly, I prefer my capologist/numbers guy to be more of a nerd than a showman!
Biggest takeaway - Abrams has some concerns of being tight on 2022 cap.
DG and Abrams questioned about Barkleys contract (and or)extension and possibly Jones's as well. Did it factor into their mindset at all while doing these other contracts etc.
ans- Abrams says everyone ash a say into that adn they look at everything but wasn't at the forefront right now. DG says nothing is done in a vaccuum.
Question on why Booker was a priority and if it had to do with maybe Barkley not being fully ready and that Booker was seen as a guy who could take a lead role.
ans- They liked Booker, believe he can be an asset and help with special teams and that they expect he will play a role.
Someone asked why Leonard got his deal (something to that effect)
ans- 11.5 sacks certainly played a role there.
Tom Rock made the poor choice of words question when he asked how do you Quantify where this roster is right now after your signings.
ans- Abrams said what do mean by quantify. If we feel our roster is better now and deeper now than the end of the season the answer is yes. DG followed quantify will happen in the Fall when we start playing in September. We all feel pretty good about the additions we have made.
A question was asked about how DG feels about our Edge group (as is now) and after a lot of back and forth clarification for DG to understand the question was about the current roster:
ans- they feel good about Carter and Xman's recovery from injury, they have Coughlin and Brown as well and the draft still to come. Then it was asked by Jordan raanan (following up to previous reporters question), do the view I.O. as an edge because DG didn't mention him by name. Dg mentioned he is in play but he has a LOT of inside rush potential. ** my opinion, they view him as more inside rusher and maybe occasional outside. **
Kim Jones wasked specifically if the Giants targeted FA to build up those around DJ's for him to have success.
ans- DG said they built there roster to help make it better across the board. You get OL to keep the QB upright and get him playmakers. But, that also helps build the running game, build a defense (then said his quote he always says, Offense scores points and wins games, defense wins championships) and then mentioned building ST's as well.
A questioned was asked about FA and the draft, how they are worked within the building.
ans- Giants have two boards, a draft and a FA board. They look at positions of need and see which area (FA or the DRAFT) is deeper and that helps decide on where to focus energies in FA. Was very clear the two pieces as worked in conjunction with each other.
Question was asked about Kyle Rudolph and why the Giants didn't change the handshake deal (once his medical issue was found out, to a more incentive based deal).
ans- Giants feel very good about Kyle, barnes and Doc signed off on the signing and the NY Giants don't do business that way. They are a class organization. They feel Rudolph will be a "PROFESSIONAL TE" - used more than once to describe him- as he can catch, knows where to be on the field and will help with the running game as well. ** Take of that what you will but he said it more than once and it sure seemed like a knock against someone else or at least something they felt lacking with that position.**
Question about Golladay deal and why it was important to bring him into the building before signing him.
ans- The physical, the medicals. Get him checked out.
I don't believe they have faith in them, as in they believe they have answers on the roster now. The question was specifically about the EDGE group the Giants have now. DG's answer was more a run down than I feel really good about it.
Could mean... '& so we got him Kenny Golladay'... but IMO that came across as DG showing his hand a little. I think he wants a playmaker at the top of this draft... now whether we get one or not, who knows.
I just read that as pre-draft “GM speak”. They’re not going to come out and say those guys probably won’t cut it, we’re pretty desperate for better edge players.
According the jvm, they feel good about their recoveries. He didn't say they feel good about their ability

Than I do.

I’ll admit I don’t have much faith in the edges we have now; the only guy who’s proven he can rush the passer there (more than 5 sacks in a season) is Odenigbo; I viewed him more as a guy like George Martin, an extra defensive end brought in on obvious passing situations.

The question was in direct relation to FA and the Giants egtting Golladay, Rudolph, Ross etc.
If he is going to be the slot CB in subpackages, it makes it much more likely they draft an outside CB (like Surtain) at #11.
I'm sure you'll be more than eager to share them with us

A QB, O-linemen, playmakers...cutting edge stuff from our GM.
That man knows roster-building like nobody's business...
Something wrong? Wow?
Or just commenting on the obviousness of that statement?
Seems to me, based on our needs, current draft position and players who will likely be available at 1.11, round 1 is screaming for a trade down this year.

if you have a player you want why risk it?
