On why Hajek had been a healthy scratch the last two games?
It is puzzling. He’s been very good since coming back
Im glad I am no longer the only person who noticed his play on D more "responsible" and consistent. I noticed it months ago and I think Brett was the only one who agreed. Given that his pairing is a guy who skates without blades,I think that is a solid performance.

I noticed and mentioned it months ago. I would love to know why he's being scratched. Another questionable move by Quinn.

Agree. We just saw another example of why this guy should not be playing.
We need to add a D or two that can manage a breakout pass every now and again. We simply cannot get out of our zone against the more disciplined two-way teams in the league.
It was good to win the tune-up tonight. Best game NYI have played since the trade deadline IMO. 3 game series for first place coming up. The reward is a first round series with Boston which im not really sure is a great prize. Hopefully Coliseum will have at least half capacity for the playoffs.
Also, WTF is OP smoking? Was he thinking about the NBA or something?
But a couple years ago everything you posted during Islander-Ranger games was about how how many Ranger fans were at the Coli and how there were empty seats. It was weird.
Hudson was just a front-running yinz fan nobody liked.

Well, yeah, but that was all in good fun. I mean, we make fun of your attendance; you make fun of our Stanley Cup drought. We make fun of the fact that no one wants to come to the Island; you call the 1994 team the New York Oilers.
In a blowout loss, the four players with the least amount of ice-time (not including Trouba) were Kravtsov, Chytil, Lafreniere, and Kakko. But yeah, Quinn's doing an excellent job developing those guys. Kakko, with his 13 points on the season.
I'm just waiting for PaulN to tell me again how valuable Brett Howden is. HE LITERALLY DOES ONLY ONE THING WELL and we have forwards like Zibanejad, Strome, Buchnevich, Rooney, etc. to kill penalties. Howden is just waste of a roster spot. Gauthier should be playing over him. There is absolutely zero reason why Gauthier should be scratched. He's a big-bodied, fast, offensive threat. If you're going to play Kravtsov on the fourth line, why would you play him with a zero-skill player like Howden instead of a skilled winger like Gauthier?
And again, why is K'Andre Miller running a PP? Put Laf in on PP2! Jesus F'n Christ. Next year, Fox will run PP1 and Lundkvist will run PP2, but until next season, PUT LAF ON THE SECOND PP.
The season is over. Play Julien Gauthier. Play Zac Jones. Play the fucking kids more.

was really strong. The whole team did a great job clogging the neutral zone and making sure the Rangers could never enter with speed.
Not sure what happened the last three games but the team we saw tonight can beat anybody.
LGI!
Beauvillier always seems to play well vs us, a few game winners, very late, last year.
And, yes, Trotz maybe borrowing a page from the Devils book. When Rangers have are skating with space from their own blue line through neutral zone is when they are most dangerous. They were bottled up. Someone said NYR need d-men to make the breakout pass--they've been doing it for the most part--what they need is a coach who can make effective adjustments to their play in games like these.
Did he need more games to qualify as an unprotected player for the expansion draft? If so, terrible timing, if not, wtf? Hajek had been playing steadily.
They play in Brooklyn, which we all know is an island.

They don't
He’s been on the ice for 3 of the last 4 goals they’ve allowed.
Why?
That was Anak. He crazy.
You did totally miss it. They moved back to Nassau this season.
It is puzzling. He’s been very good since coming back

Anak is weirdly obsessed with odd things when it comes to hockey.
And yeah, the Isles don’t play in Brooklyn and have not for well over a year.

I dont ever want to hear Bitetto's name again.
Sorry Anak. It’s a shame.

Crowd splits and attendance.
We weren't going to make the playoffs anyway. We were too far behind with too few games in hand.
Perhaps the story of this Rangers season is how Putin fucked us over

I think you're thinking of GoldenTee/Hudson...

Yep. If Zibanejad didn't come out flat...

Don’t remind me of that nut job and contracting the teams he hated

Zibanejad is so good. Beyond his skill he's dominant defensively.
Next 3 games VS caps are the division. I think wash is too heavy for the current islanders but we'll see. Caps' D can be victimized.

Did he score one tonight? Because that would have been a weird strategy by Trotz.
