There was a game vs Toronto where Yanks needed a run late. Both Tauchman and Gardner were available to pinch run.
Tauchman was sent out and stole second and third (before being thrown out at the plate on a contact play).
Gardner was sent out the same inning as a trail pinch runner behind Tauchman.
That tells you who the Yanks recognize is the better baserunner/base stealer right now. And that's what you want a bench guy to do.
Players don't stay the same; if they did, no one would have to retire.

If, I had to chose between the two, I would take Gardner 10/10. No question, no doubt as of right noww.

Knockwood, but this was a very encouraging start by Kluber. Nasty breaking stuff. He is on fumes about now, but very nice pitching.
When he connects, it's literally unbelievable. That single could have killed someone. I still think he's unnecessary on this team...but it's just an opinion

If he is healthy, he is not unnecessary. Still a devastating hitter.
It is, but it is about stretching him out and having him work when tired. I'm sure Kluber is working on returning to form, so he need to get out of jams.

he's definitely unnecessary, and hes clogging the roster.
Personally exit velo means nothing to me. who cares? at the end of the day it's still a single
