Monty vs. Lopez
71 pitches through 5 innings is not that bad.
Yep. After game 1, I was starting to worry what the bullpen would be looking like about now. Happily (and surprisingly) in good shape!
The worst part about it is he still has 5 more years on his contract after this one so they are going to keep running him out there to try to get a return on their investment .
Would much rather have Tauchman play CF every day then Hicks at this point

Tauchman had 3 hits for SF last night.

I know that ugh. I really dont understand trading Tauchman when Hicks, Gardner, and Frazier are all struggling although Frazier has shown some signs of snapping out of it recently
He'll come around.
This is the real question. Torres needs to get his bat working.
Same as the rest of them....their egos have gotten in the way of their baseball IQ. "Chicks Dig the Long Ball" mentality is killing him (and others). I wonder if they even TALK to their hitting coach, let alone listen to him.
Too bad Monty hung that one. I guess I jinxed him by saying he settled in...
Well, he's not playing well. Is it time to give up on him and trade him? I don't know.

What's the verdict on el Gary?

Do you think they can get a decent prospect for him?

Oh, somebody would give up prospects for him on his potential..
Yep he does and another one trying to pull the low outside pitch. The entire right side was open due to the shift...

That fastball is still filthy too.
For who though - Tyler Wade?

Urshela at SS, DJLM at 3B and Ford at 1B - do it Jerry!

It works in MLB the Show 21 so it must be legit.
Frame what? It was easily in the zone...

He caught it awkwardly. I think it affected the call.

It was just a blown call - badly blown.
But he did call the last pitch a strike(even if it was a strike).
back from the dead
It’s not see strike, hit strike. It’s wait for perfect pitch and occasionally put it in play.

I wish it was that good. That ball out of Fry's hand to Hinks was low and inside the minute he released it. It was never a strike and never looked like a strike.
