If Humphrey slips to 3, sure. Like SY I think he's a starting center in this league, but probably an average at best one. Not sure if you draft that high in second. Outside of that, who knows how they have some of these OL ranked. I feel like teams are going to be all over the place how they rank these IOL reading a lot of the readups.

I love the fact that Owusu can cover and is cat quick but man is he small at only 221 pounds. I think he needs an off-season to bulk up but if he does will he lose any quickness? This is a guy with potential if used properly and protected.

Smart. Better class and no covid restrictions in vetting process.
Eagles OL. But still have a poor back 7 and question mark at QB.
Brooks and Kelce are pretty much cooked. Kelce was a holding penalty machine last year. Johnson may not be far behind himself.
so
Dillard - dropped in the draft b/c of injuries and injured last year
Dickerson - dropped in the draft b/c of injuries
Kelce - aging
Brooks - grudgingly respect
Johnson - meh, plus injuries

Exactly
Maybe we can jump back up over Dallas now and stick it up their #@s
I have to believe we moved 8 down because our value board was too close among ten players that the extra #3 was too good to pass up.
We are in great shape 2022. #1 Toney gives us speed though he needs time to develop. #2 if an OG who upgrades and starts gives us a young, developing offense.
We probably have a bunch of players we are comfortable going with that are still available so why not trade not keen trading down and gaining picks?? Awesome job
We need interior OL, especially because more and more that's where the pass rush is coming from in today's NFL-- and IMO there are still some good ones to get at the Giants position (#50 I think). I know Sy doesn't like a lot of IOL in this draft as potential 2nd rounders but IMO there are some good ones still on the board that are good value at our pick.
Is the Giants aren’t looking to win this year. Why do I want to watch Giants this year? Fucking joke.
Or, it could be as simple as having several guys available ranked comparably who will still be there at 50, so why not take Miami’s call and their best offer...
This guy sucks...it was the cool the first time bro.
But, we have to wait another 12 months till draft 2022 and then 5 months after that for the season to start, before we see all these players we're banking on, stock piling, etc?
I'm not feeling that patient, myself.....perhaps I'm in the minority.
The one player we've taken so far for this year was ranked by Sy as the 14th best player at his position...14th for crying out loud and "a 3rd rounder – Should be able to rotate by end of rookie year – Year 2/3 starter"
He’s not wrong about DG, past behavior is usually the best predictor of future behavior. He had never traded down before this year
So I guess that means Bill Belichick is no longer in charge of the Patriots, because he's never spent in free agency like this past year, nor had he ever drafted a QB in the first round. Must be Josh McDaniels running the show in New England now.

Agreed. What's the harm in picking up the phone? It doesn't obligate you to do anything.
They are accumulating picks, because they know that the cap is not going to be much of an increase next year. They’re going to improve through the draft next year. I really love what’s going on.
You dumb ass. It’s the second round and they traded down twice. I can’t believe we are watching this shit. We need blue chip players. Remember DG has been terrible at drafting now just a bunch of garbage players.
Bye Bye DG.

So would you rather be Chicago or the Giants right now?
Yes he is-- that's actually who I hope the Giants get. Or Josh Meyers in the 3rd.
Meinerz, Wyatt Davis, Trey Smith, Deonte Brown are all OGs still on the board too for the Giants to take any time between now and the 4th round. I feel strongly that they'll get one of these guys we're talking about to beef up the IOL.

Just a terrible take.
In addition, they may feel because of all their college connections they can drop down and get some steals and players they still really like. they may be getting a win this year and next.
the way the NYFG are approaching this draft and is cold, calculating and shrewd. There is so much risk and incomplete information in this class/year due to so many circumstances. They have been super risk averse, going with FA and bulking up for 2022 without losing tickets to the 2021 draft lottery.
If you are one of the people who wants to move on from Jones now... or you are one of the wait and see group who would want to move on if he doesn't get it done this coming season, well this is what you do. You start setting up for that option now. They are getting it done.

We obviously have a bunch of guys that we have equally rated. All we have done is enhance next year's outlook. Hasn't it already been said that due to cap issues we're not going big in FA next year? So we need to go heavier in 2022 draft.

I guarantee the pick is Radunz based on what you said about the senior bowl lol.
Can Radunz play guard? I know he can swing at tackle but wasn't sure if they expect he can play on the inside.
Give him credit for thinking about the future of the team and not his status.
I still don't understand how supposed fans of this team don't get that the Giants generally work in consensus and as a group to come to decisions made during the draft and FA. I don't think we've ever had a GM that waived his iron fist.
RE: We've had people bitching DG doesn't trade down
One of the best drafts in history and Giants avoid taking good players. I want quality not quantity.
Why don't you wait and see who they pick at 50. If they end up getting someone they would have taken at 42 then it is a smart move. Looks like there will be a bunch available at 50.
DG with the trade downs like he just discovered Indian food
A lot of people he knows dig it but he was always a little scared. But now that a younger, hipper friend got him to take a taste he can resist the pungent spice of extra picks.
for this year, but it's for years to come. You trade down and accumulate draft capital so you have more room to maneuver in the future. It helps build the team FOR THE FUTURE. Look at what Belichick does year after year.
But I will find it funny if Gettleman gets canned and never gets to use these picks :P . It'd be even funnier if our future GM uses one one of those picks to draft our next franchise QB or trades these extra picks to move up to draft our future franchise QB.
THIS YEAR that would have made us a favorite to beat the Rams or the Bucs next season, let alone the Ravens, the Bills or the Chiefs in the Super Bowl?
The draft is about building a team, by getting enough talent to win. We're getting there, and the talent infusion next year will make us a serious threat, presuming Jones is the real deal. The team will have some great wins and some bad losses on the way, but I think we have a decent chance at the playoffs next season, which is what we should be shooting for short term.
RE: DG with the trade downs like he just discovered Indian food

.
That's right, so it better work for his sake.
It's playoffs or bust this season.
I mean he could be indirectly secretly setting himself up to have an excuse to keep him on another year lol-- like "I mean I traded down twice of course this wasn't the year we were going to make the playoffs-- but NEXT year..." Just a thought lol.
RE: DG with the trade downs like he just discovered Indian food
I wonder if the Giants are also doing this in case Jones doesnt work out.
Now they have draft capital to move in and get a QB in 2022.
I think they just were faced with trade down offers that were above and beyond what the value is. A nice side effect is we do now have ammo for next year. Doubt we need it. You just opened a very annoying train of thought that people will hammer all offseason with zero proof.
I’d suggest you stop thinking in those terms. Abrams is the next GM in my opinion and the transition has already begun internally. No way are the Giants canning Gettleman and hiring someone from the outside. The building seems all in on the long term vision.
everyone realizes how big it is that we have two #1s, #3s, and #4s next year.
Again said begore and saying it again, we won't be spending in FA next year with the cap space being very tight un 2022.. We have a chance to make strides this year and load up in 2022.

Radunz doesn't have the best feet or athleticism, so a move to Guard may be necessary. He wants to play LT, but he admitted that teams are looking at him inside.
I wonder if the Giants are also doing this in case Jones doesnt work out.

well fuck, I'm sorry BBI.
People get so set on picking players they have never even watched...
This is much more random that people think. So stockpiling picks for a stronger draft where you will have better intel, with a cap that may not be as high as anticipated makes perfect sense.
I get the impatience but this is a really solid plan.
RE: We need to get another second rounder next year
that the Giants have decided where they are in their roster development, as well as what they think of this year's draft compared to next year's draft.
Isn't that what we would hope that they would do?
Now, that assumes they're correct, but you get my point.
RE: We need to get another second rounder next year
No worries, I'm sure someone would have came to that conclusion on there own. I mean I believe in DJ, but it isn't out the realm of possibility. I just look at the value we received and we got offers we couldn't refuse.
Don't want you guys ruining the pick for me. But JOK, Bolton, Ossai, Boogie, Radunz or Friermuth. Any of those guys would make me extremely happy, especially JOK. Pawn piece.
is that it is a weak class. I believe the term I heard scouts use was that there are a lot of clappers, people who get get drafted who would not normally get drafted in most years. So far, we have accumulated picks for what is projected to be a strong class in 2022 due to extra eligibility granted - all without giving up any picks. This seems like a no brainer to this admittedly armchair GM.
RE: RE: We need to get another second rounder next year
I wanted the Giants to compete for the division this year. I think we all expected that. Guess what not happening. We gave away too much.
how the fuck do you know dude?, seriously? Like get off your shinebox and actually accept the fact that the team coaches management knows waaaay more then any of is. including you

We've mentioned this a few times, but some teams were gunshy on Notre Dame LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah coming into the draft because of the struggle the Cardinals had in finding a role for Isaiah Simmons.
inside and outside, I think that would be a great pick. I guess just the fact he can play both right and left tackle is huge unto itself though. But we need help on the interior for sure, IMO

#Giants selected Azeez Ojulari, per source #nfldraft
Is he another Lo Carter or better?
I think Azeez is quicker /more agile than Carter, which is what you need in a pass rusher. Carter has terrific straight-line speed (ran like a 4.45 in the 40) which is why they thought he was going to be good, but he is really tight in trying to turn, so there's really no point as an edge rusher in having speed if you can only run in a straight line lol.
Dan Duggan
@DDuggan21
Checked in on the reports about Azeez Ojulari’s knee. He tore his ACL as a high school senior and redshirted his first year at Georgia. But he didn’t miss a game in his two active seasons at UGA.
Dan Duggan
@DDuggan21
Source says Dr. James Andrews examined Ojulari’s knee in January and sent a letter to teams saying it was strong and there were no problems with it. Obviously teams did their own exams in Indy, so that could explain his slide. But some team could get a steal on Day 2.
there is a lighter weak side linebacker, but that player are they typically heavier than than a 4-3 because of run responsibility? Just curious wondering if JOK was ever a fit. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Olijura pick.

RE: RE: RE: RE: Don't like it, but I can live with it.
Still think they should have gone OL, but if they're worried about Carter not making it back to 100% (or even close) I can certainly understand it.
Sy did give him an 84 rating so
That's also what he gave Evan Engram, so...

Nothing against the player, or the need for an ER. I hope he drives opposing QB's nuts for the next ten years. I'm still concerned about the O-Line, though, and the pickings are getting slimmer by the minute.
Not sure if it was the beats, Sy, or some other journalist/analyst who said it but they may be comfortable with what they have. Wouldnt be surprised if they look to add elsewhere. CB, DT, maybe even a RB. Not saying I agree, Lemieux and Hernandez make me uneasy, but it's a distinct possibility.
I think they might look to go corner. JonC recently said they arent happy with Holmes in the slot, and the thread today on McKinney really highlighted the drop off in Holmes snap counts.
Because I think Bolton is a starting 3-4 ILB. He's been compared to Ray Lewis. He's a bit on the shorter side and his coverage is just okay, but what a tenacious ILB and athlete he is with sideline-to-sideline range.
There should be interior guys in the 3rd that can compete for a starting job next year. We've got a Georgia fetish and they've got a G that should go midrounds, Trey Smith out of Tennessee with Pruitt on staff, a lot of sharp people are high on the D3 kid too, the BYU kid can kick inside. There's depth there and that's where the value is. I'd be surprised if they didn't go OL with that pick.
I like him as well but no shot after Toney. Not just same position, they check similar boxes on specials and gadget contributers. Palmer from Tennessee maybe if they double dip WR.
IOL Creed Humphrey - Oklahoma
G Trey Smith - Tennessee
OL Jalen Mayfield - Michigan
G Ben Cleveland - Georgia
G Wyatt Davis - Ohio State
IOL Quinn Meiner - Wisconsin Whitewater
OL Brady Christensen - BYU
At least one of those guys will be there when we pick in the third round. Humphrey and Smith are the clear-best on the list, IMO.
we're going to get 2 OL in the next 3 rounds, possibly over the next 2 rounds, and something tells me they'll both be IOL. I had the Giants taking WR, LB/EDGE, and 2 OL in the 1st 4 rounds, I just didn't know in which order. But I think the depth at IOL is there for value in the 3rd and 4th.

Exactly what I'm referring to here. can get 2 of these guys possibly over the 3rd and 4th. Or if not the 4th, we can get Deonte Brown in the 4th. I think he could be great because he's like 370 lbs and acts as just a huge plug in the middle to stop the pass rush. Can't allow pass rush right up the middle anymore.

Brown offers NO mobility though. I mean he's not getting to the second level. Sure, he could block out the Sun and he's the epitome of the "Planet Theory" but I prefer my O-Linemen to at least have SOME athleticism and mobility.
Saquon adding to an already strong running game and a 4 additional recieving threats, the Giants have enough to have a balanced attack. If DJ has the goods, there is no excuse. I think he'll be successful.
The only thing that can trip up this attack is if the pass pro isn't good. For this reason, I hope they bolster the line.

2 reasons I think of Brown are 1) the Alabama connection, 2) because he's coming in as depth, not to start. If your starting guard on either side gets hurt and you have to go to the well, the main you think you want to make sure of is that they're not going to let pass rushers through every single play. I agree he isn't ideal for run blocking, but I just feel like when it comes to specifically DEPTH I think a high-floor on pass protection is more important than a high-floor on run blocking. We could also get him in the 5th, because I do think he's going to fall for the reasons you mentioned. There are worse things that can happen than getting a serviceable backup guard in the 5th.
DG loves the senior bowl and this guy played G & C there.
We've definitely been Senior Bowl heavy in our picks recently. Toney a Senior Bowl guy too. This is a great point.
I would love Meinerz but we still have like 15 picks to go. A lot of these "Best Available" guys we're looking at at this moment are going to be gone.
I'm sure a few come off the board, wouldn't be shocked if there's a little run at that position either but the Giants should have options there and at other positions. Teams have their own lists and priorities, so not every one of those 15 picks will be guys that the Giants would be targeting or guys on a fan board radar. We saw it in the trade down, Ojulari and JOK were both on the board when nobody would have faulted you for saying that both would be gone by then.
he got hurt trying to avoid contact on the edge and was twisted. People thinking he is going to save the day are crazy. NFL RB's that can take contact and keep going are not what he is. Sending him out as a receiver may be his best use.

Trask looks lime the actor theyd cast to play Tim Tebow in a hallmark movie where a simple country boy shows a busy city girl the meaning of Christmas.

Out of all my years on BBI, some of the takes on Barkley are some of the most brutal I've seen..
They probably want a cheap backup for 2022 so it makes some sense. But I don't think there's anyone left I'd want for the Giants except maybe Jamie Newman, and I wouldn't want him in the 3rd. Maybe tomorrow.

I wouldn't say he's a WR. I think he's a gadget player, a guy you get out in space to make plays, whether that's by occasionally splitting him wide, giving him carries, etc. He's not a guy you look at to move the chains and get tough consistent yards.
Now if we fix the offensive line and suddenly Barkley has huge holes to run through, it's a different ballgame - assuming Barkley comes back 100%.
But that's a discussion for another topic, and certainly one we've had here before. It's a minority position as well, but I think the analytics back it up.
so confused as to why the Texans would take a QB..does he not know about the mountain of sexual assault accusations against Watson and the trade rumours even before that?
wanted to move ahead of the rest of the NFC East for someone.
That was my first thought-- do NOT want to be the last of the 4 of that group of dirty motherfuckers. They'll literally chop off their nose to spite their face, all fucking 3 of them
Anything after the 3rd is a prayer. I love it and I understand why they traded up. Boys and Eagles have massive holes there. Not to mention, this guy is an absolute player and if he was at a big power school is probably a second round pick. Being a defensive player at UCF did him no favors. Also big time press man corner. I think we are moving to a more man scheme, especially with the talk of HOrn early.
I think they might look to go corner. JonC recently said they arent happy with Holmes in the slot, and the thread today on McKinney really highlighted the drop off in Holmes snap counts.
Great call by this handsome sonofabitch right here...
some actually projected him to go kind of high today-- like mid-2nd round of the players were left beginning of the day.
Also-- he's specifically a slot corner. I like that. That's very forward-thinking. You're defense literally only as good as your nickel and/or dime back in today's NFL.
20 pass break ups! Our secondary is completely SICK! Defense is also looking solid. I really like the make up of this team. Oline still a bit of a mystery. We have to hope they take a step forward this year.
Didn't one of the asshats mention Trai Turner? Maybe they have a plan.
But this guy looks like an interesting slot corner. I thought Holmes was solid last year though so not sure if this was a need. Apparently the coaching staff didn't see it the same way.
Baker and Beal are sunk costs. Love a tweener nicklebacker who is either a Peppers replacement or guy on the wrong end of his rookie deal. There really isn't much there beyond the guys we bought and Holmes who is still a question mark.
gave up a fifth round pick to move up five spots? Too much.
71 is worth 235
76 worth 210
164 worth 24.2
Seems fair to me
It still seems like a little too much.
The hit rate on 5th round picks is so low. I think they absolutely were sure someone in our division was going to take Robinson. If they think they need another guy who can cover and they think he's one of the last guys available who will be ready to cover the slot Day 1 then I can't argue with giving up a 5th for that.

i think we're allowed to have more then one guy who can play in the slot at a time but it's been so long i can't remember

There are serious questions along the interior OL and the DL is paper thin beyond 21. I don’t think it was smart to burn the pick on a niche player given who was available.
Our secondary was playing well, our defense was sick. Always smart to strengthen the secondary.
Exactly. Can't have enough guys who can just straight up cover someone. Especially since we're solid on the outside at corner, covering the slot is a different skill and that's what this kid can do. Think of all the no-name slot receivers who have absolutely killed the Giants over the years! I don't think our problem has ever been "we have way too many guys who can cover" lol.
Dallas needs more than 1 CB in their depleted secondary

DL isn't in too bad of shape. Williams, Lawrence, Shelton, Johnson, Hill and possibly McIntosh/Speaks on the roster. With alot of the nickel looks, only 1 or 2 of those guys will be on the field at times. (If the plan is to rush Odenigbo from inside)
The "obsession" with Dallas is that they are the favorites to win the division with Dak back. The Giants need to set up their defense to deal with the offensive firepower at WR the Cowboys have.
for us to trade into the end of the 3rd round to grab an IOL.
Or they might just wait, but I think they'll def take an IOL next. I think between DG's confidence in himself to find "hog mollies" late and Judge's Belchick-esque draft tendencies I could see us just waiting and getting a couple solid OL in rounds 4 and 6.

Look at most of the names you listed and their contracts. The Giants aren’t going to be spending much next year.

Dickerson and maybe Teven Jenkins? AVT in round 1 ?
Apparently his meteoric rise to late 1st/early 2nd was overstated by the draftniks. But I think he's going to be a pain to play against for years to come. Philly added Smith. Giants added Golladay, Toney and Ross. Washington added Brown. Dallas added Kelvin Joseph and an Amazon subscription for Tums.
I guarantee you it was his mom's idea. He must have one of those moms who finds any excuse to throw a party for her kids. Can't even imagine what his 8th grade graduation party must've looked like.

It's also funny how they literally were all filming it w/ their phones and he didn't do a bunch of jumping and shouting. He didn't seem super comfortable. He probably only knew like 7 people there haha.
I have to say-- while *I* personally thought there were going to be good options in the 2nd-3rd rounds, Sy certainly didn't. A few IOL he had rated as 1st rounders and all others he said weren't even starter-worthy. I think all of us want to get the next Chris Snee in round 2 or 3 but that guy isn't always actually there. Sometimes I think we just project our "hope" of what some of these OL can be in the NFL.
that Nico Collins, St. Brown and Seth Williams are still available.
Seth Williams apparently tested badly. I like him but I can't really argue that he'd be a good value before the 5th.
Sage Surratt and Tamorrion Terry seem like similar players to me and which one you like depends on... I dunno, personal preference?
St. Brown, Tylan Wallace, Nico Collins, Surratt, Terry, Williams, Simi Feihoko and about a dozen other nice prospects left at WR. Gonna be an interesting Saturday. I think there are more good WR prospects than jobs for them.

We have too many good corners said nobody ever. Plus if you have to cut one of those big contracts at some point, it might be nice to hit on a third rounder to save some cap space. I feel like a good corners window can be smaller. For what it’s worth.
I had a feeling he’d be gone any pick now. Thought Belichick would take him— he’s usually all about the overachieving small school white guys. Actually the fact Belichick didn’t take him at 99 makes me feel a little better . I thought this guy was gonna be a steal this late, but what the hell do I know

Barmore? Basham?
My guess is he is one of the first picks tonight, possibly even the first.
I doubt he is on the board at 42 but if he is I think he may very well be the pick. To be honest I would be surprised if the Giants passed on him.

If not Barmore, then I think they have to get a Guard. No faith in our existing Guards starting on right side. Zach Fulton is very underwhelming.
Just picked up a 5th. That would be a sweet spot for a RB on Day 3.

Giants liked Dickerson a lot, but my sense is he was not in conversation for 42 due to medicals.
Maybe if he was on the board later tonight. Instead, he's off to Philly.
I'd like that.

Yea signing Golladay, Jackson, Rudolph etc. Definitely tanking in the season.

Absolutely and it's great!!!
+1
Or, it could be as simple as having several guys available ranked comparably who will still be there at 50, so why not take Miami’s call and their best offer...

It's a collaborative effort and the only reason to think otherwise is to feed a preset opinion of DG
So when DG is wrong, Terps is right, and when Terps is wrong about DG, theres an excuse.
But when Terps guesses a 50/50 outcome on a WR or tries to anticipate the trade of a former MVP and it doesnt happen, he gets a pass.

Can Radunz play guard? I know he can swing at tackle but wasn't sure if they expect he can play on the inside.
I still don't understand how supposed fans of this team don't get that the Giants generally work in consensus and as a group to come to decisions made during the draft and FA. I don't think we've ever had a GM that waived his iron fist.
That's right, so it better work for his sake.
It's playoffs or bust this season.
I think the transition to Abrams has already happened. I also think Gettleman will move into an advisor role, so it’s easy to think long term.

Now they have draft capital to move in and get a QB in 2022.
Why don't you wait and see who they pick at 50. If they end up getting someone they would have taken at 42 then it is a smart move. Looks like there will be a bunch available at 50.
Now they have draft capital to move in and get a QB in 2022.
I think its mostly because they wont be able to sign any any FA's next year with there cap space situation.
But I will find it funny if Gettleman gets canned and never gets to use these picks :P . It'd be even funnier if our future GM uses one one of those picks to draft our next franchise QB or trades these extra picks to move up to draft our future franchise QB.
Apparently, some people don't get that AT ALL.
This was good, lmao

I think they just were faced with trade down offers that were above and beyond what the value is. A nice side effect is we do now have ammo for next year. Doubt we need it. You just opened a very annoying train of thought that people will hammer all offseason with zero proof.
Again said begore and saying it again, we won't be spending in FA next year with the cap space being very tight un 2022.. We have a chance to make strides this year and load up in 2022.

Giants seem to almost always let 2nd round players walk after rookie contract. Knee is probably a future problem but probably after rookie contract.

Checked in on the reports about Azeez Ojulari’s knee. He tore his ACL as a high school senior and redshirted his first year at Georgia. But he didn’t miss a game in his two active seasons at UGA.

@DDuggan21
Source says Dr. James Andrews examined Ojulari’s knee in January and sent a letter to teams saying it was strong and there were no problems with it. Obviously teams did their own exams in Indy, so that could explain his slide. But some team could get a steal on Day 2.

Checked in on the reports about Azeez Ojulari’s knee. He tore his ACL as a high school senior and redshirted his first year at Georgia. But he didn’t miss a game in his two active seasons at UGA.
Dan Duggan
@DDuggan21
Source says Dr. James Andrews examined Ojulari’s knee in January and sent a letter to teams saying it was strong and there were no problems with it. Obviously teams did their own exams in Indy, so that could explain his slide. But some team could get a steal on Day 2.
I believe in Dr. James Andrews!

So he ran that well after tearing his knee...wow!
Still think they should have gone OL, but if they're worried about Carter not making it back to 100% (or even close) I can certainly understand it.
Sy did give him an 84 rating so
That's also what he gave Evan Engram, so...
touche
Nothing against the player, or the need for an ER. I hope he drives opposing QB's nuts for the next ten years. I'm still concerned about the O-Line, though, and the pickings are getting slimmer by the minute.
I think they might look to go corner. JonC recently said they arent happy with Holmes in the slot, and the thread today on McKinney really highlighted the drop off in Holmes snap counts.
Azeez Ojulari. We needed an edge, and man' did we get one !
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-sGhDIHIXY
He makes those OTs look silly. You don’t lead the SEC in sacks without some serious pass rushing chops.
Granted I am biased as a Vandy grad.
As long as we got at least one pass rusher whose name I can't pronounce I'm happy.
I like him as well but no shot after Toney. Not just same position, they check similar boxes on specials and gadget contributers. Palmer from Tennessee maybe if they double dip WR.
G Trey Smith - Tennessee
OL Jalen Mayfield - Michigan
G Ben Cleveland - Georgia
G Wyatt Davis - Ohio State
IOL Quinn Meiner - Wisconsin Whitewater
OL Brady Christensen - BYU
At least one of those guys will be there when we pick in the third round. Humphrey and Smith are the clear-best on the list, IMO.

JonC was not in favor of him because of this.
We've definitely been Senior Bowl heavy in our picks recently. Toney a Senior Bowl guy too. This is a great point.
Well Werner is gone, but I would go with Ossai as well. Save Olineman for next year.

In the 1st, yes thats a problem. In the 2nd, a different story if just ACL and Andrews gave the nod.
We might have stolen the draft with the first 2 picks plus the compensation for dropping down.
Daviyon Nixon
Paulson Adebo
I would have no problem if the Giants took Ossai in round 3. Ojulari helps but they could always use more pass rushers.
Same here. Ojulari’s knees concern me and he’s a light guy who might get overpowered by tackles. Still looking for the next Michael Strahan.

Lol, we’ll have like 20 picks in next years draft at this rate.
They should have just kept Keenum and spent money in other areas a few years back. Cousins is such a turd of a player. Never going to win with him.
A 3rde round QB isn't really indicate of anything
Out of all my years on BBI, some of the takes on Barkley are some of the most brutal I've seen..
Barkley clearly can't take contact.. - ( New Window )

2) ILB Baron Browning - Ohio State

I laughed pretty hard at this ngl lol
I'd like Michael Carter, Melifonwu, Baron Browning, Milton Williams or Jabrill Cox
With the Broncos? They have a similar player in Fant.

There goes Ossai to the Bengals.

The hit rate on 5th round picks is so low. I think they absolutely were sure someone in our division was going to take Robinson. If they think they need another guy who can cover and they think he's one of the last guys available who will be ready to cover the slot Day 1 then I can't argue with giving up a 5th for that.

There are serious questions along the interior OL and the DL is paper thin beyond 21. I don’t think it was smart to burn the pick on a niche player given who was available.

Exactly. Can't have enough guys who can just straight up cover someone. Especially since we're solid on the outside at corner, covering the slot is a different skill and that's what this kid can do.
Payback, good luck throwing on us, secondary is loaded.
Or they might just wait, but I think they'll def take an IOL next. I think between DG's confidence in himself to find "hog mollies" late and Judge's Belchick-esque draft tendencies I could see us just waiting and getting a couple solid OL in rounds 4 and 6.
