re-checked Sy's grade on him. He rated him as an 84. Pretty crazy, did most teams not agree with his assessment or did the injury history scare them off? Hope he turns into a good one, been awhile since we got to cheer for a legit pass rusher on this team.
Lorenzo Carter had 14 sacks + 21.5 TFL in 48 games

Ojulari's been more productive in a tougher conference than Paye. I think Ojulari is a superior prospect to Paye. IFFFFF Ojulari is healthy, Ojulari in the second is MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better than Paye in the first, AINEC for me.
They had him one spot ahead of Jaycee Horn in their player rankings. Wow.
Today they expected him to be the 2nd player off the board of all the guys left to start the day.
This is awesome. Let's hope his knee is okay because if so then this guy is a steal. I don't understand's y'all comparing him to Carter at all. It looks like he plays NOTHING like him. Just because of the Georgia thing? Come on. How about we focus on the Osi comparisons that have come from more reputable sources?

He has a degenerative knee
Technically speaking everyones knees are degenerative. Time is undefeated.

Well that's your opinion. He looks like kinda small out there.Athletically I don't think it's close
Ojulari is far more proven as a pass rusher coming out of Georgia.
Lol. Carter was a far superior physical freak. Then he got a ruptured Achilles. Ojukari was doing ok and there are medical flags he has a degenerative knee. That’s why he fell this far.
sure the Giants checked out his knee. It probably did scare off other teams, but Sy said it isn't anything to be concerned about. Somebody also said that a reporter for The Athletic said the same thing.

He is on the small side compared to Paye, but I wouldn't call him small. And if you take away everything, would you rather have a guy who produced in the toughest conference in CFB or a guy who didn't in an inferior conference?
"Azeez Ojulari aligns as an EDGE defender for the Bulldogs defense. He will align either in a 2-point or 3-point stance and has played on all three downs for their defense. He plays with good reactive athleticism when out on the edge and demonstrates good quickness, effort, and body control. Although he appears to lack ideal length for a traditional 3-4 OLB, he demonstrates very good pop in his hips and hands at the point of attack to set the edge. In the passing game, he gets home with good effort and motor. He needs to improve and refine his overall technique as a pass rusher, but shows flashes of the athleticism that projects him to have success at the next level.
Ideal Role: Off the ball 4-3 OLB.
Scheme Fit: Any defense with hybrid even/odd front principles will have no problems using him as a valuable chess piece. "
I hope that doesn't disqualify him for some here. But his film per DD was dynamic, real bend, torque, and speed. There was a thread a few days ago Olujari vs Parsons--all the complexities there for both. Hope this works!!
Downside: JonC was not a big fan, but that may have been because he had other ER faves already gone. Jon has been keen on ER ever since we passed on Josh Allen. I think many of us were shocked we didn't go that way. Not saying Olujari is his equal--not as powerful or heavy, hope he grows into a role.

That’s the issue with this draft. No in person evals Re covid. Anyone figure it out yet the giants are smartly loading up picks for next year? Anyone?
He did looked pissed and annoyed. IDK, maybe the guy he wanted was taken just before...or maybe Joe Judge overruled him and John Mara told him to sit in the corner. :P
RE: I’m probably reading too much into it, but DG looks annoyed here
There is concern Re his knee being degenerative. Says something Re the Carter Achilles rupture.

Beautiful...
Hey bw, I think you should see a doctor, are u feeling ok?
Jokes aside, really love this pick.
Feel really positive about this...just hope the medical is clean.
I can't wait to see this defense now.
Remember, the Giants passed on Paye TWICE.
Ojulari is far more proven as a pass rusher coming out of Georgia.

What’s the catch? :)
LOL!

My belief as well
I liked him over Paye. Paye is a 4-3 DE
Remember, the Giants passed on Paye TWICE.
Yeah but who knows what they're thinking was.

This draft is Belichickian in concept and execution.

No doubt. Giants are trending up, this is fun.
Did you see the camera shot of the war room at Jints Central?
Gettleman was twirling his hands and looking real nervous. And then you see Judge to the right side looking at Gettleman and laughing at him...
Like: "Trust me Dave. I've got this..."

I trust our medical people checked out his knee to their satisfaction.
What's not to like???

He was definitely annoyed there, could have been anything though.
Think that Thomas gave him a strong recommendation

Kevin Sherrer probably gave him an even stronger recommendation...
DG, you’re relieved. Go home...

Could've been annoyed how long it took ESPN to come back from commercial to announce our pick.
