It's rated over 91% on Rotten Tomatoes with 300+ reviews. Plus 90% with audiences score over 100,000+
I think the producers released it at the wrong time, as it competed with the World Cup and a teen drama that got released in the same week. If marketed better, they would have had a better box office hit. Either way, it did rack up over $300+ million in the box office.
Although most of the fan following has been through word of mouth after it's theater run in 2014.
They have a script for a sequel and the director said they're in early development.
It's great. One of the best sci fi movies in recent memory. During the movie I kept thinking it reminds me of anime. Turns out it was adapted from Japanese novel.
Probably the best Cruise movie and performance in recent times
Of my all time faves. Tom Cruise is that dude and Emily Blunt aka the Angel of Verdun! If you like to read, check out All You Need is Kill, it’s what Edge of Tomorrow is based off. Very very good, and quite a few differences as well, but still excellent. I can’t wait until they finally get the sequel going!
But he never ever mails it in or takes a play off. He always gives 100% to every scene in every movie he's in.
He acts so hard sometimes that it makes me tired just to watch him.
This is why I never read up on actors or listen to there views on life. It would ruin movies for me.. he’s a good actor and that’s all I know about him. Great movie. This thread is going to make me watch it again.

Emily Blunt smoking hot in it too.
If you like the movie, listen to the Rewatchables pod on it, it's one of the few without Simmons and flies by.

Was looking for a sci fi film to escape in and couldn’t find one. Will give this a try
Ha you just described what I did last night.
For sure. I'm pretty sure the General was the guy that plays Professor Moody from Harry Potter. Fun watch.
In Bruges.
The Guard.
Mr Mercedes.
C'mon

Ha yeah you can tell I don't watch TV too much anymore... lol. I read Mr. Mercedes (good books) but I had no idea they made them into a show.
