Bears fans are happy but this could mean 2nd rd pick Teven Jenkins to start day 1. This could be great for our extra 1st rd next year. With a new starting qb in either Dalton or possibly a rookie qb our pick could be really nice!!!
Teven has had a lot of repetitions on the offensive line so to watch on film, at this point of his career, how out of NFL football shape he is, how sloppy his techniques are, how poor his balance is the quicker he tries to move his feet, how he lunges once he engages and stops moving his feet, is mind-boggling to me. He also holds on just about every play.
Late 7th round, close to Mr. Irrelevant in 2014. Over time, with a second contract and a restructure, his cap number probably got out of line with his market value. But he's had a great run, even if he never plays another down.
Apparently he initially agreed it was time to give the job to Jenkins but then threw a temper tantrum and demanded it back.
