this is the last year for Fox.
I know I'm a "get off my lawn-er" but I hate Thursday Night Football, hopefully this goes so badly they give it up. But I suspect I'm wrong on that.
So, I am guessing a lot of people are going to struggle to find a stream to watch it (or not struggle buy try).
Sounds like in local markets the game will still be available locally, but I still hope there is backlash.
My issue is not with Amazon Prime, I like it, it's with Thursday Night Football.
$67m a game is good work if you can get it
DITTO. and those are on local TV regardless. Or at least they have been.
holy shit, is that true? 82% of American households have Amazon Prime? I figured it was like 30%.

82% of American households have Amazon Prime and I assume the vast majority of those already stream movies. My guess is that Amazon gives you greater coverage than any other option except maybe the big networks and even that is close. got to be better coverage than ESPN or NFL Network.

Sports bars have a year to figure out how WiFi works. They are going to have to move on from cable at some point, this seems like a decent way to dip their toe in.

You realize that WiFi comes through cable and transmitted through the router/modem, right?

Currently you can't just use your login for a streaming service at a bar/restaurant. Well you can but you can be subject to fines as a result as those accounts are only meant to personal not commercial use.

NFL has done simulcasts of games on cable channels for years. I don't think that last line is a surprise at all.
And I agree 100% with Thursday Night Football. I hate it.
