I have been asking this since the beginning of the draft process. Is he to be used more as an OLB who can cover the flats in additiin to rushing the passer? Or is he strictly a rush backer/DE?
Some analysts have said "he can cover a little", but I didnt watch much of his college body of work.
That is what I thought and hoped he would be. He certainly has the quickness based on the jump he seems to get on plays.
Well thats not exactly a ringing endorsement, lol. But the posters prior to your post affirmed my belief that he can in fact do that. He is one hell of a worker and his hands are incredible. Combined with those vines he has for arms.
I just loved this draft. If you told me we wouldve drafted Ojulari in the 1st and Toney in the 2nd, Id probably be unhappy with Ojulari and thrilled with Toney. But to get them flipped (forgetting the additional picks), just kick ass.
Sounds like everything you'd want in an OLB - ( New Window )
LT. When asked , he could. He could do anything and everything. Carson too. Great hands.
Good article, chopper. Interesting the writer said Ojulari would be a good option after a trade down in the first or maybe in the 2nd, (but unlikely he'll still be around).
Who woulda thunk we'd get him after a trade down in the 2nd?
50 is the highest the Giants have picked a LB in a long time. Really looking forward to the season.

An OLB who could cover that also had the pass rushing attributes this guy has and I cant really. Also, this write up from about a month ago is not only pretty on, but very very encouraging. Sounds like everything you'd want in an OLB - ( New Window )

Yea I thought that was telling.
Thoughts? What am I missing here?
