Can Ojulari cover?

I just think that he wasn't asked often to do so.

I think he will do ok.

consider AOZ as an every down defender.

where he dropped into coverage of a RB and seemed to do a good job on that play. He looked the part.

Makes Ojilari a scheme fit vs other edge rushers imo

Well thats not exactly a ringing endorsement, lol. But the posters prior to your post affirmed my belief that he can in fact do that. He is one hell of a worker and his hands are incredible. Combined with those vines he has for arms.

I just loved this draft. If you told me we wouldve drafted Ojulari in the 1st and Toney in the 2nd, Id probably be unhappy with Ojulari and thrilled with Toney. But to get them flipped (forgetting the additional picks), just kick ass.

Chad Reuter mentioned his ability to cover Tight Ends due to his athleticism. Where I've seen some disagreement about Ojulari involves his lower-body strength. Some pundits feel he needs to get stronger there, but for others it isn't an issue.

Good article, chopper. Interesting the writer said Ojulari would be a good option after a trade down in the first or maybe in the 2nd, (but unlikely he'll still be around).

50 is the highest the Giants have picked a LB in a long time. Really looking forward to the season.

Yea I thought that was telling.

Most of us are ecstatic we got Azeez in the 2nd round. But why did DG trade down? I didn’t think Azeez would be there at 50. We got lucky he was. Obviously DG didn’t mind if he wasn’t there because he had him at 42, but didn’t pull the trigger. Of course, no guarantee he would be there at 50.

Thoughts? What am I missing here?
