Was in the early 2000s. We were supposed to be good that year, won our preseason games. Then we just sucked. I was watching an early game when expectations were still high at Mr Days in Arlington (for you VA fans) and my language was so salty I think I basically cleared the section around us. Not proud of that.
I also kicked my couch during the Trey Junkin game, but not at that play. By then the meltdown of the team was clear and that was just the death blow.
I am better now, with just a few pillow throws from the couch, and my saltiness is mumbled most of the time.
What sucks is I want my 11 year olds to join me in my fandom, but there’s been nothing to really show them during their lives but a few OBJ plays. They typically just come over for a few seconds and ask if we’re losing. The answer is generally yes or not yet.
But THIS year will be different! (He said with false bravado.)

Daniel, don't be too hard on yourself. I was there for almost all of those games at Mr. Days back then, and I believe that if people cleared out because of a barrage of bad words from the Giant fan section, then it was surely a team effort. But at least we left the walls intact.
As if some of you haven't been here before during your untamed days getting silly wasted, crashing trucks, smashing things over Wendy leaving, getting caught with speedballs on Green Street and doing that car thing like they did in the beginning of Footloose.

Kind words, but it was me and my BIL there in the lower section by the Windows. Not many other Giants fans around that day. For whatever reason it was not packed that day - big games might have been earlier/later. I didn’t realize how bad I was, I was basically calling all of the players we had uh, by Gragg’s nickname shall we say. As it winds down on a commercial I said to my BIL, “huh, kinda empty in here...” He’s like, “yeah, I think you probably cleared them out dropping those P and F bombs.” I felt like, and was, a schmuck. But in fairness, JFC we sucked...
two of them grew up with '87 and '91 and were young adults for '08 and '12. The third grew up with '91 (barely), '08 and '12. So they have some good memories.
Yep... and why else would someone in the room be filming the guy so Intently while the Eagles were making a selection?
It's very possible that this is staged but for argument's sake; whomever was recording probably knew the guy wanted the Giants to take Smith (because he more than likely said that's who he wanted) so the person recording was hoping just to get any type of reaction.
I think camera person was aware of what was coming and what Philly was up to. Knowing this place and other fans, people spend months on end hypothesizing who their team is going to take.
Also it's easy to whip out your phone these days and record a 15 second "short" with a popular recording app.
for an adult to act this way. Reminds of that one video of the Josh Gad look-alike slobbering and drowning in tears that Daniel Tosh did a redemption on a few years back.

Not cool, in fact kind of sad
Not all of us.
Second would be my reaction to the "tackle by helmet call".
Third, probably the defensive holding penalty against the Hammer in the SB.
Nothing more than yelling at the TV most times with the exception of Junkin.
Don't get me wrong, I was pissed too...but punching a hole in the wall is over the line.
And the little girl sitting there quietly watching her dad freak out like she has seen this act before.
It's still somebody's kid!! I'd feel worse if it was a random kid watching a complete stranger!

I hope that wasn't his kid sitting there.

Yeah, but at least that kid can be like... "I'm glad that's not my dad!".
I can't imagine doing something like that in front of my own, similar in age, children.

Even pre-covid I don't think it was popular to watch sports in the basement of random strangers.

Sad part is, he probably is more mature than 99.7% of BBI.

Pat "the loser" Shurmur at his best.

Emotionally stunted adults.
Not cool, in fact kind of sad
I wonder if anything happened over the past 14 months that raised his stress level...
Now that's a justifiable reason to act wild.
P.s. why is that bum still on the Giants?
Emotionally stunted adults.
FLOUNDER!!
This guy deserves the trip to Home Depot, the wife, the whole bit.
Was she sending him to his room?
"Get the fuck upstairs now"
The whole family is crazy.

Lol. How old are you? That's how nearly every woman in her 30's talks in 2021.

Route - in the early 1940s 20 and 30 year olds were getting sent to Europe and the South Pacific to fight in WWII.
This generation is getting sent to their rooms (by their wives?) WTF? The mighty have fallen .... : )
