I think many of us NY fans (especially Yankee fans who grew up hating the Red Sox) have a negative reaction to a Boston accent, either on a conscious or a subconscious level.
Combine DG's accent with his dissmissive attitude and I think that tends to put some people off.
I haven't been a DG supporter, mostly because of the teams's poor record during his time as GM. But I do wonder if I've been completely objective or whether I let other stuff influence my opinion of DG's performance.
The Giants have certainly had a great off season (FA signings and draft) and they've added extra draft picks for next year. One has to acknowledge that DG had a big hand in all that and give him some credit.
and somehow developed a light Boston accent. Sometimes when I'm rambling I start slip into it. I moved down south though when I was younger, so I kinda have a more southern vocabulary, so it sounds really weird sometimes.

Except bring in our head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, QB, Barkley, Thomas, Gates, Lemieux, Peart, Jackson, McKinney, Martinez, Bradberry, Ryan, Lawrence, Williams, Toney, Ojulari, Slayton, Golloday, Rudolph, and a 1st, 3rd and 4th round pick in 2022.
All that is adorable if you want to pretend you are proving a point but I petition you to call me on the phone once they actually start winning under David gettleman.
Unless you're a part of the "excuse culture" that runs wild here, do not waste my flipping time.
We will be sure to request an audience with your majesty's social secretary.
She's a spicy 24 year old redhead who wears leather and is already the floor manager of an Amazon in New Jersey. I forget her name though. I get mixed up.

I just learned that I say that, never realized it, and the family and friends I've asked in Maine say it as well, but not the Mass friends.
