but the order seems pretty balanced. I think we'll at least do a little bit better than 12/13, but besides that I can see the draft falling relatively in that order.
Even if Adoree Jackson stays healthy Bradberry will be entering the final season of his contract and Jackson will have just two seasons left. I don’t know if the Giants will have the cap room to extend Bradberry so it would be nice to have insurance there. Then again Robinson could surprise and be a suitable replacement.
It is likely because Daniel Jones has not taken that next step and we will need a QB.
This, if we are drafting at 12 those two firsts are getting packaged up with something else to move up and take the kid from UNC would be my guess.
It’s hilarious to me though that every year we hear how the QB class is going to be weak in (fill in the blank year) and that any team that needs a QB is in trouble, with rare exceptions like Lawrence, Peyton Manning, Luck, etc.
Then a few months before the draft three or four QB’s are getting slotted as top 10 picks. Like this year with Lance and Mac Jones skyrocketing up the board.
But we'll see how he does at Texas Tech and that Air Raid Offense.
I've never been that impressed with Kedon Slovis, but again, we'll see how he does next year.
Sam Howell is basically Baker Mayfield. Spencer Rattler is a fun player to watch and really came on late last year. And Desmond Ridder needs to be talked about more. His accuracy is not where it should be, but he has a cannon for an arm and he's big and mobile to boot. Reminds me a lot of Justin Herbert.

It does seem like the QB crop next year is extremely underwhelming, despite some of these mock drafts. The last 2 years, for the most part, you knew the names of the QB's who were worthwhile. I think it will be one of those down years for QB's, but other positions look pretty darn good.
Shough, why did he transfer? Oregon is a pretty good situation. Texas Tech, not so much. I watched some of Oregon last year, and Shough has some happy feet in his game.

My personal opinion of 2022 QB crop is I don't see anybody on the Trevor Lawrence level, but there are a number of options that I see as potential above average starters (Matt Ryan types) if given proper development or they could end up falling on their face next year. In addition to the names you mention, I have seen some flashes from the QB from Boston College as well but will need to see more in 2021.

I agree that there's no Trevor Lawrence (not even close really), but it is a unique class. Howell and Rattler are both sub-6'2 and I think that may scare off SOME (not all) GMs and scouts, who think a QB should meet a certain height threshold. However, both can really sling it. Rattler is more in the mold of Kyler Murray, but needs to get stronger. You're going to hear A LOT of comparisons between Howell and Baker Mayfield leading up to next April. Slovis reminds me of Josh Rosen, both the good and the bad: Not a huge arm, kind of on the skinny side, very accurate with the ball.
And Ridder is the sleeper in all of this. He led Cincy to a pretty damn good year with minimal offensive weapons. He's a big, strong, mobile QB. The ball just shoots out of his hand. He needs to be more accurate with his ball placement, but there's a lot to like. He's also a natural leader and supposedly a great kid.
kinds of things really just are stat porn without any tangible stats.
Not only does Walter Football not even have educated guesses on where each team will finish, they don't know team needs, they don't know underclassman who will declare, they don't know which players will emerge, get injured, fade away, etc.
There's like 10 levels of unknowns they are trying to present as anything other than complete horseshit.

It’s so funny to me how everyone seems to be so confident that Chicago’s pick is gonna turn into a top 5-10 pick. The way BBIers talk (not you I realize you said “a little better”) you’d think we already have the #4 pick in the draft lol.
Matt Nagy’s 3 years there have gone: 12-4, 8-8, 8-8.
I see people saying that the Bears are suddenly going to suck because they lost Kyle Fuller? Well first of all they actually CUT Fuller and cutting one guy who isn’t even a pro bowler or even close really does not take a team from 8-8 to 4-12 overnight. The Giants lost Dalvin Tomlinson does that mean we’re going to go 4-12.... 2-14?
But I get it — the main reason people are confident the Bears will be one of the worst teams in the league is because they have a rookie QB — but Dalton/Fields playing better than Trubisky is not a high bar to hurdle lol. And it will be Dalton’s job to lose to start the season and I really think he can guide them to some wins just by being a smart vet and managing the game and not fucking things up— they still have a pretty damn good defense and some nice weapons on offense.
They’ll bring Fields along at his pace but Nagy needs to win games he’s on the hot seat to some extent even though they did just draft Fields. I don’t see him being okay going 2-14 or something just to let Fields cut his teeth. I also am not convinced once Fields takes over they’re just going to lose out. Rookie QBs are more ready to play than ever these days and I think Fields is particularly ready to at least be decent— he also has great mobility which often covers up the flaws you typically see in rookie QBs.
I also have read they have the 3rd toughest schedule in 2021– but it’s based on 2020 of course so many things change from year to year in the NFL. Case and point: Rodgers may not even be in GB anymore and that certainly thins out the the Bears strength of schedule.
I don’t think they’re gonna be great but I don’t think they’re gonna be terrible either— I would probably put the over under at 8-8 for them. I hope they suck to high hell but I’m just surprised I see so many people so confident that we’ll definitely have a top 10 pick next year.
Btw— I know Fuller went to the pro bowl twice but he did not look anywhere near pro bowl caliber LAST YEAR and he didn’t even come close to getting selected. His play deteriorated badly from 2019 to 2020. He’s 29 years old so that’s likely the reason given he’s a corner— he’s just on the wrong side of his prime. That’s why Chicago cut him. Wasnt worth his contract anymore. They didn’t “lose” him and his absence certainly won’t suddenly lose them several more games.
I do see oddsmakers set the over under at 7-10 but for all the reasons I just stated I personally just see them as more of a .500 team and I think they’re being underestimated especially by people on this board. The oddsmakers also are going by SOS which like I said changes so much from year to year I think it’s misleading. Hopefully they’re right though. They also have the giants finishing 7-10 though lol. Looks like if it goes that way we’ll be picking 7th and 8th next year.
As long as the Giants stay healthy, fairly healthy
2. The OL must have a camp and come together. This is a young group that needs time to gel and I believe they will. I foresee an UFA / Cut being added June 1st to compete at OG but otherwise our OL is set with Thomas-Lemiuex-Gates-hernandez-Peart with Solder the top backup at OT.
3. D. Jones with some time has proven to be a good QB. I think with a real camp (his first in 3 years) and 2nd year in the same system (his first in 3 years) he will flourish.
4. Barkley must return to form by mid-season. I think he'll be starting game 1 but it may take him some time to put it all together.
5. Special Teams: this is Judge's background and his identity will be stamped on this group and they will flourish this year.
6. Secondary: this unit will be special by mid-season.
7. DL: this unit will be even better this year and will control ground games.
8. Coaching: more continuity and a clear cut vision will lead to better results.
9. WR: will Slayton develop a bit? How much will Toney contribute as a 4th WR and eventual slot WR?
10. Built: this team is built to get better as the season progresses (barring injuries) and just needs to stay healthy, have a real camp, and perhaps "get lucky" with an early win or two.
We were two plays away, one in each game vs Dallas & Philly, to winning the division last year. That close despite our injuries, lack of continuity due to Covid, etc. That close....
We can list all sorts of things but I think if we stay healthy and have a solid camp this team will gel in its second year.
Giants have set themselves up nicely with the 3 extra picks next year. If Jones proves he is the guy, they are in a real nice position.
You do realize this is a BS projection, and that Walter Football has no ability to see the future, right?

i want them to absolutely suck this year
12th pick would be another 6-10 or 7-9 season. Heads better roll if that's the case.
might have been confusing because they're right next to each other. pick 12 and 13
And the next BPA
Judge and DG going for a dominant defensive line

4 QB
2 OT
DL, CB, S
Edge Kayvon Thibodeaux
I think the 2 players he mocked to the Giants (at 8 & 14) were just the top player in his list with no consideration of fit.
Hope the Bears go 0-17.
