News: Jacob deGrom has been scratched from tonight's start against the Cardinals due to "right side tightness."

Reliever Miguel Castro will start in his place.

Jacob deGrom’s injury, deemed by one source as right-side tightness, isn’t believed to be serious. Another source said the expectation is deGrom will miss only one start. Still, anything having to do with deGrom’s health is taken extraordinarily seriously — and understandably so.

I would trust DeGrom to tell the staff about his body. Probably will see how he feels tomorrow before they decide on DL stint.

can only be backdated to 5/1, so if he's on the IL he could return (assuming he were added tomorrow) on 5/12.

Brandon Nimmo is "a lot better today," according to Rojas. Still waiting to see how he feels through batting practice today.

Marcus Stroman, who is scheduled to pitch tomorrow, asked Luis Rojas if he wanted him to pitch tonight to replace deGrom, according to Rojas. Stroman is "ready to go" tomorrow for the #Mets.

if he wasn't well, he should have stayed home to rest.

I remember Noah had a lat issue there causes him to miss significant time a few years ago. Was hoping to avoid that.

All kidding aside, the injuries hurt. The offense is really going to need to nut up. Don’t like that your coaches got fired? Then you shouldn’t have played with your head up your asses for an entire MONTH.
