The transition to NBA. It's a solid signing
Good gamble

Other than watching highlights and reading, I don’t know anything about the guy. But this was a low risk, high reward signing. Only this season is guaranteed and the Knicks were below the floor so would have to spend that money or distribute it to the players.

The next three seasons are not guaranteed so the Knicks can evaluate Vildosa during the Olympics and Summer League and then determine whether they want to guarantee his salary next year and eat into the cap.

He’s also another trade chip.

Three fouls in 30 seconds.

If this guy works out decently...

the Knicks could consider going with Rose, Vildoza and Quickly at the PG, with Quickly also backing up the 2. Then, they could focus on getting a FA star at the 2 or 3, with Barrett taking the other slot. That could be much easier than getting a star FA PG.
Really smart contract design.

If he's good, they lock him up relatively cheap. If hes not, they ditch him. Can watch him play in the Olympics, too.

Looks like a really fun euro guard, from clips. Interesting to see how he looks against NBA players.
Such a strange highlight reel for a PG.

Lots of shooting, lots of people dishing to him, very little of his passing/distribution. But that seems to be how highlight reels work nowadays. It's hard to tell a PG reel from a SG reel. Maybe that's because of the trend toward positionless basketball.
