Uniform #s for rookies?

Cowboys announced theirs, Jerry Jones took #11 from WR Wilson and gave it to Parsons. No compensation or negotiation. It’s being discussed on Blogging the Boys. “The entitlement for Parsons begins”.

Anyway, have any preferences for our newest additions?

Toney in a single digit?
Azeez in 44 or 55?

What else sounds good?

I personally like LB wearing numbers in the 50’s. That said I think it would be cool if we could un-retire some numbers, no disrespect to the 10 people who have retired numbers.

Squads are getting too big. They started assigning duplicate numbers to offensive and defensive players a few years ago.

But I think they really need to go back and unretire pretty much everything...at least pre SB era.

Most fans have no idea who many of these numbers are, yet their heroes in the modern era are not retired (53, 58, hell even 91).

I don't think there would be an uproar either..interested to see what some of the old timers think.

Think the rule should be that on the retired jerseys once the player dies then it should be reintroduced. I also like the idea that the star on the defense and offense gets a specific number to create a tradition around a number and not just a player.

I completely disagree with reinstating retired numbers. Leave them retired. Don't rescind the honor that the team placed on these men.

It had previously been retired for Ward Cuff. It is now retired for both players.
