Prior to Friday’s game against the Nationals, the Yankees recalled third baseman/outfielder Miguel Andújar from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and optioned right-hander Albert Abreu to Triple-A. The move to recall Andújar comes after third baseman Gio Urshela exited Thursday’s 7-4 loss to the Astros with a knee injury sustained on a diving stop in the eighth inning. Urshela is expected to undergo an MRI. Andújar finished second to Angels’ two-way star Shohei Ohtani in the 2018 American League Rookie of the Year Award voting (Gleyber Torres was third) after hitting .297 with 27 homers, 47 doubles, 92 RBIs and an .855 OPS over 149 games. |
I don't hate the Mets so hopefully we will help you out.
I have no issue with the Yankees or Rangers (Islander fan) aside from when they impact my teams, but the green.......this is heresy but I have rooted for Dallas/Eagles over the jest in the past
Anyway good luck to you Yankee fans this evening...rare weekend that both NY teams are home
Really hoping Miggy can make things interesting. He needs some time to get going and this may be his last real opportunity to contribute.
I see him with two hits tonight with one of them driving someone in.
Miggy can catch, he just cannot throw..
Why not bring up Voit? He is ready to go...
Voit's lower half isn't in good shape and I would prefer they don't rush him back. If Miggy is ready to rake, let's see what he can do at first.
How can I watch the game? MLBN is blacked out :(
Besides the slow release, he is not accurate..

Do you think two or three days makes a difference?

is a 1B/DH. If they were realistic with him they would have tried him out at 2B before he made the majors.

I was reading someplace that the health issues are more systemic and the likelihood of a knee or hip issue popping up again are pretty high. I wouldn't count on Voit to come back and stay healthy all season.
3-1

I don't know what that has to do with my belief that working Andujar into the lineup is a good hedge against bringing Voit back before he is really ready.
Gary goes bye bye.
3-2

You can only watch on MASN which YouTube TV does not have.

I am not sure Miggy has the pop to hit a HR to straight away CF. Thought he caught it all and not close..
Three rockets off Corbin..
We need Taillon to start locating quickly.

the ball he hit carried much more than I expected. I didn't think he got it.
I love this kid. What a GD catch.

Voit is coming back Tuesday. He has been playing since Monday. What difference does it make to play in SWB or the Bronx?
Meanwhile Frazier can fly
Thought that was gone by Stanton.
He fouled off the first pitch.
Maybe move him to 4 in the order. Idk. Something has to change.

Gary Sanchez...he doesn't even foul off a pitch anymore...

Weirdest team batting. Someone will start to hit and someone will stop. This is crazy with Judge. Everyone goes through slumps, but he is missing miserably, missing meatballs. He is too good to be doing this.

My point was that he found a pitch straight back. He's not missing by much. But then he misses by a ton. You're right, it's weird. I think he'll break out soon.
He sure loves these soft-tossers.
