anyone is really bored, here is their Mock Draft Simulator for 2022.
Right now its predicting that the Giants will pick at #7 and # 10 in Round One. Let's hope one of those 2 predictions is very wrong. Link - ( New Window )
I did the mock a few times. Hard not to deal up to 3 to grab him. Such a quick first step. Watch his videos. He’s so quick, you lose track of him at times. Really strong character too
With Engram a free agent and Rudolph in a contract year....
TE Wydermyer should be in the mix (assuming Engram leaves). Obviously it all depends on who shines and who doesn't in 2021, but I expect OL to be a need in next year's draft.
He'll probably put up huge numbers and be in the Heisman conversation in that offense.
Agreed. What do you think of him at this point as an NFL prospect? It’s so hard to gauge these players now with some of the college offenses.
I've watched just about every Sooner game in the last 25 years. Rattler is not near the athlete of Murray (who is?) and not as good at moving in the pocket as Mayfield. He is a better pure passer and goes through progressions better than Mayfield (not a big Murray strong point at OU.)
I'd compare him more to a smaller version of Sam Bradford as a passer...but slightly better athlete (Bradford was a sneaky athlete.) Hopefully, he stays healthier than Sam...Sam could sling it but also didn't get to play in the Lincoln Riley offense.
Rattler is going to have a huge year this year (Oline and WRs will be better this year), looked great in the spring game. He's easily the NFL prospect Mayfield is/was...hopefully, with fewer commercials. However, he definitely doesn't have the ceiling of Murray. Crazy thing is...he may not be the best QB on the OU campus. Remember the name Caleb Williams...

Very interesting. That provides good context going into the 2021 college season. Really looking forward to watching all these quarterbacks.

Yep I would love him as long as we are not in a situation where we need to get our next QB. However, when George Karlaftis of Purdue has been healthy he looks like an intriguing fallback option.

There are a number of QB’s I will be watching next year:
Rattler
Sam Howell (UNC)
Kedon Slovis (USC)
Malik Willis (Liberty)
Desmond Ridder (Cincy)
Tyler Shough (Texas Texh)
Phil Jurkovec (Boston College)
Carson Strong (Nevada)

I'm more curious about the OL right now...
Evan Neal
Rasheed Walker
Kenyon Green
Charles Cross
Zion Nelson
TE Jalen Wydermyer sounds like a 1st round prospect, it's just a question of early, mid, or late first.
Quote:
Jalen Wydermyer, is just plain fun to watch. He has a traditional tight end size at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds, but he moves with ease. He can run routes, make the tough catches, and extend plays after securing the pass. Any tight end with Wydermyer’s mix of athletic potential and high-end receiving ability is going to be rated highly.
Fits what a lot of Giants fan want from their TE. In fact, if the Giants came out of the 1st round with him and his teammate, OG Kenyon Green, that would be a pretty good haul.

...he may not be the best QB on the OU campus. Remember the name Caleb Williams...
Very familiar with Williams. Local kid who went to Gonzaga down in DC. Plays very much like Russell Wilson. Not very big, but a dual threat with a big arm. Parents seems a bit strange - especially the dad - as they are all in on the Caleb gravy train. I believe they moved to Norman to live out the dream with him.
OU has become QBU under Lincoln...

then OT and interior offensive lineman would pop up along with TE. Assuming that this list is at all accurate, it abounds in OT and OG/Center types--13 of them between the top 50 and honorable mention. That cannot be a bad thing.

I know I'm biased, but if an OU QB is in the conversation, I'm taking him. I think the chance of a bust is so much lower after they've been with Riley for 2-4 years (Hurts doesn't count...just don't see him being a starter in the NFL.)

Let me say this - if Hurts pops this year than I'm right with you... ;)
Assuming Jones knocks it out of the park this year...
With two picks in both the 3rd and 4th rounds, 2022 will be an excellent year to spend one of those mid-round picks on a QB to develop behind him. I would expect as much even if they didn't have the extra picks, but the extra picks (and Jones's history of injury) make it a slam dunk if there's talent for the taking.

Also, at some point, they're going to want their backup to be cheaper than a vet like Mike Glennon.

Sounds like Cam Newton’s father
Yeah, need to see more for sure. When he replaced the more highly touted Matt Fink a few years ago he looked pretty damn good.
Seems like a defense heavy draft
